{Yes, no and sure; I'll control it unless fla reeeaaaalllly wants to. btw, I forgot to place it, but each and every Pokemon has 2 dodge counts as well, and the movesets aren't limited to their levels in this RP since everyone didn't follow that for their Pokemons. you know that, right? XD I tend to place the stats of the Pokemon right before their actions in roleplay, then put dashes to indicate that's the end for the said Pokemon. This does avoid the confusion a little IMO.}
Wild Gengar Lv 20 59/59 |ATK 27 | DEF 32 | SATK 63 | SDEF 44 | SPD 50| Levitate | Dodge Count: 0 Mean Look, Curse, Lick, and Hypnosis
Before the wild Gengar had a chance to do anything, that pesky little Plusle managed to land a Thunder Wave on it! Paralyzed, it stopped short, giving an angry glare at the little yellow Pokemon. ------
Pyrren the Lampent Lv 80 198/198 |ATK 89 | DEF 108 | SATK 195 | SDEF 107 | SPD 99| Flash Fire (Shadow Tag) | Dodge Count: 0

(Okay. I didn't know that they could have any move. but now that I think about it, I think I have Last Resort for Plusle and its only at Lv. 20 so I guess I could change a few moves but I kinda like them the way they are. and besides it makes me feel that its kinda fair for the Gengars.)

{I don't really mind if the stats aren't 100% correct, as long as it's not overpowered or overweak. Let's just go with those stats/moveskills then XP}

((eep, sorry was gonna post forgot left for drama club posting now.)) Haunter 95/95 [Attk50][Def45][Sp.Attk108][Sp.Def54][Spd90]
Haunter spun around happily before realizing he had left Alfonse and the other humans behind. Making his way back to the group he saw the two Gengar. Not waiting for Alfonse to give him orders a dark orb appeared in front of Haunter shooting a beam of purple and black circles at the paralyzed Gengar.
((I don't want to control the gengar Haunter will eventually fight.....))

{Here's two pogeys to use as an exampl, Pyrren the Lampent and a Wild Gengar lv 80.
Pyrren the Lampent Lv 80 198/198 |ATK 89 | DEF 108 | SATK 195 | SDEF 107 | SPD 99| Flash Fire (Shadow Tag) | Dodge count: 0 Clear Smog, Inferno, Pain Split, Shadow Ball
Wild Gengar Lv 80 209/209 |ATK 98 | DEF 114 | SATK 237 | SDEF 161 | SPD 186| Levitate | Dodge count: 0 Mean Look, Hypnosis, Nightmare and Hex
Wild Genger used Hypnosis. Pyrren has two choices; get hit, or use up a dodge count. -If he was asleep, he has to roll the Random Number Generator from online [just google search] between numbers 0 to 100 ONE TIME PER POST. Since Hypnosis has a 60% chance of not waking up, you gotta roll the RNG and get 61 or over to wake. this is, of course, a trust issue; if we find that you're breaking free too many times or something, the staff [most likely me, in this thread only] will roll the RNG instead.
-if dodged, then 1 dodge count lost. 2 is max per battle, remember. Now Pyrren used Shadow Ball. [for convenience's sake, we're going to say Gengar didn't dodge.] Shadow Ball's base power is 80. [from bulba/serebii, wherever] Pyrren's SATK stat is 195 [picked SATK coz SBall is special; if physical, you pick ATK stat of the user] the attack count is [BASE POWER% of ATTACKING STAT], in this case 80% of 195 which is 156.
Next thing to count is the STAB and TYPE bonus, Ability Hinderance. -STAB means if a pogey uses the same type move as itself, the attack is PLUS 10 ONLY IN THIS FORUM [since X1.5 breaks our little roleplay] make sure you remember that STAB is counted BEFORE type bonus -Type ratio ranges from X0.00 [no effect] to X4.0 [double weakness], you know that right? -Ability hinderance; examples are Blaze/Overgrow/Torrent/etc, Hustle [raise attack by 1.5] etc etc etc. No ability hinderance for this round. So, (156 attack + 10 [STAB]) X 2.0 [Weakness] = 332 total damage.
NOW we see the defense rate; Wild Gengar's [the one getting hit] SDEF is 161. Pyrren's [the one attacking] SATK is 195. [attacker's attacking stat - target's defense stat] => 195-161 = 34. so 34% of total damage is blocked off [only 66% of 332 does damage] and thus, Wild Gengar gets hit with a 219 damage [round to nearest whole number if you get decimal.]
Wild Gengar Lv 80
-10/209 FNT |ATK 98 | DEF 114 | SATK 237 | SDEF 161 | SPD 186| Levitate | Dodge count: 0 Mean Look, Hypnosis, Nightmare and Hex
Hope that helped.}

(Thanks for the info. I knew about the dodge count and STAB it was just getting the formla to calulate damage and such. By the way, how much would Nightmare do on a sleeping pokemon?)
Lv.45 Gengar 122/122 /Atk 56 /Def 66 /SAtk 135 /SDef 93 /Spd 107
The Gengar watched as it headed back to the group of humans, being iqnored even through it had a Sucker Punch ready. So the Gengar chased the Haunter, with its arm covered in a purple light.
Lv.80 Gengar 209/209 /Atk 98 /Def 114 /SAtk 237 /SDef 161 /Spd 161
The Gengar could only watch as its ally being ganged up on. Angered that it still couldn`t move, the Gengar struggled to free itself. It couldn`t break free all the way but it managed to pull off a Hex attack towards the Haunter.
"Now Plusle, lets use Helping Hand on Lampent!" Serena kindly commanded. Plusle started to cheer for the Lampent, shining with a light blue energy, waiting for the Lampent to use a move and transfer the energy to it.

{Nightmare and Curse[ghost] are fixed damage; 1/4HP per turn for both.}
Wild Gengar Lv 20 59/59 |ATK 27 | DEF 32 | SATK 63 | SDEF 44 | SPD 50| Levitate | Dodge Count: 0 Mean Look, Curse, Lick, and Hypnosis
This Gengar was angry. Real angry that it was paralyzed. Silently, it creeped closer and closer, then lunged, going for a Lick attack to the Plusle while they were occupied with teamwork. Gengar's tongue, which it could control as it wanted, extended unnaturally long; almost three times its body's height, snaking to the Plusle. ------
Pyrren the Lampent Lv 80 198/198 |ATK 89 | DEF 108 | SATK 195 | SDEF 107 | SPD 99| Flash Fire (Shadow Tag) | Dodge Count: 0 Moves +10 [Helping Hand]
Pyrren was mid-air dancing in joy at Plusle's cheering. Gen had a look of disapproval at her Pokemon; distracted during the fight? looks like he was still yet to be a fine Pokemon... at least he was strong. What Gen didn't realize, however, was the Pyrren's Shadow Tag was weakening its grip due to the Lampent being careless. That was when that pesky Shadow Tagged Gengar pull off a move!
"Watch out!" Gen snapped, realizing that her Pyrren wasn't the target; then it could be anyone, including the three mere humans - the main weakness of a typical trainer/pokemon team. With that said, Gen quickly darted to Serena's side, ready to push her out of harm's way if needed.
{Gen makes a derpy move!}

Gengar Lv.80 209/209 [Atk. 98 Def. 114 Sp.Atk. 237 Sp.Def. 161 Spd. 161]
The Gengar questioned why that human girl would try to protect the other girl. And thats when it hit him. instead of targeting the Pokemon, aim for the humans! So it used a Hex attack towards for both girls.
Gengar Lv.45 122/122 [Atk. 56 Def. 66 Sp.Atk. 135 Sp.Def. 93 Spd. 107][Dodge 1]
The Gengar happened to see the attack coming and stepped aside. It decided that it needed to defeat the Haunter. So it launched a Shadow Ball right at it.
Plusle 42/57 [Atk.29 Def. 24 Sp.Atk. 40 Sp.Def. 40 Spd. 44]
Serena and Plusle turned to see what happened when the girl rushed to Serena`s side. "Wh-whats going on?" Serena asked. Plusle was watching Serena when it felt a drip fall on its head and turned to see a massive snake-like tongue. Scared out its mind, Plusle tried to run to Serena, but it was quickly scoped up and wrapped tightly by the tongue. And before it could cry out, the tongue licked over its face causing it to be Paralylazed.

{Re: Battling style - I kinda messed up the explanation about ATK-DEF; let me redo it.
if ATK - DEF = Positive number, add the number% from the total. if ATK - DEF = Negative number, minus the number% from the total.
Using the previous example, Lampent [SATK 195] uses SBall [80%] on Gengar [SDEF 161] => total damage was 332 after counting everything except ATK-DEF. 195 - 161 = 34, so we go; 332 + 34% of 195 [SATK] => 332 + 66 = 398. Max. cap is +60% [if 237 - 107, then it's +60%, not +130%]
if ATK was 20 and DEF was 50; 20 - 50 = -30, so we go; 332 - 30% of 195 [SATK] => 332 - 59 [rounded up] = 273. Min.cap is -40% [if 20 - 200, then it's -40%, not -180%] Reference
Since I explained it wrong, let's just leave your Plusle's stats as is, Dark. Sorry people.
Shall I put a dodge count on traine-/brick'd}Pyrren the Lampent Lv 80 000/198 FNT |ATK 89 | DEF 108 | SATK 195 | SDEF 107 | SPD 99| Flash Fire (Shadow Tag) | Dodge count: 0 Clear Smog, Inferno, Pain Split, Shadow Ball Gen pushed the girl aside, directing the Hex at herself. Pyrren, seeing that his trainer was in danger, directed the Ghost attack at himself by being in the way. The result? one fainted lamp Pokemon, and a slightly irritated Gen. "Let's see what you can do, then." she muttered, returning Pyrren back to his ball and sending out another Pokemon in one fluid motion. The red glow of Pokeball faded to a greeny hue of the orange Pokemon. It was a small Pokemon, which didn't look threatening at all. It had wheels which it started to rev, showing how it couldn't stand to stay still. "Thunder Wave!" Eosphos the Rotom acted even before Gen's words were complete. It moved at a fast speed, circling the Gengar [lv80] as it generated sparks from its body, aiming for the Ghost Pokemon. Eosphos the Rotom-Mow Lv 80 170/170 ATK 133 | DEF 197 | SATK 180 | SDEF 197 | SPD 165 | Levitate | Dodge Count:0 Discharge, Leaf Storm, Hex, Thunder Wave {I SHALL COUNT ROTOM FORMES AS PART-GHOST-WITHOUT-THE-SAID-TYPE FOREVERRRRRRR-/brick'd
S-sob, not sure what to do with the lv20 Gengar. /popcorn.jpg}
The [lv20] Gengar gave a wicked laughter at the wet Plusle... That is, wet with its saliva! Its laugh was cut short though, its paralysis giving him a mouthache.

Haunter 0/95 [Attk50][Def45][Sp.Attk108][Sp.Def54][Spd90]
Alfonse watched the Gengar's attack hit Haunter in the face causing Haunter to fall to the ground defeated. "Man this could have gone so much better." Alfonse said returning Haunter to his pokeball and sending out Umbreon. "Umbreon use Shadow Ball!"

(Ugh... massive headache. I guess I'll try to learn that form of calulating damage. Correct me if I make any mistakes.)
Gengar Lv.80 209/209 [Atk. 98 Def. 114 Sp.Atk. 237 Sp.Def. 161 Spd. 161]
The Gengar laughed as the Lampent took the hit. It seemed that if they all attack the trainers, their Pokemon will willingly jump in front of the attack and take it. It was thinking about what it could do next when the Thunder Wave hit it. In anger of this, it lunged at Gen with a Hypnosis attack.
Gengar Lv.45 55/122 [Atk. 56 Def. 66 Sp.Atk. 135 Sp.Def. 93 Spd. 107]
The Gengar reeled back from the attack. If that Umbreon was any stronger, it could have really put it in danger. As it caught its breath, it watched as the other Gengar charge at one of the humans. It soon got what it was doing and aimed a Shadow Ball at the Trainer controlling the Umbreon.
Plusle 42/57 [Atk.29 Def. 24 Sp.Atk. 40 Sp.Def. 40 Spd. 44]
Serena fell to the floor as the girl pushed her out of the way of the Hex attack. she slowly got back up and saw the Lampent being returned. She felt sorry for it and could understand the pain it went through. But she turned back to the Gengar that Plusle was fighting only to see Plusle wrapped in the Gengars tonuge. She called out to Plusle. "Plusle, Use Thunderbolt to free yourself!" Plusle heard the command and let loose a ThunderBolt. Since it was in contact with the tonuge and all of the saliva, that this may hurt a little bit more then normal.

"Gardevoir, teleport" Alfonse said tossing a pokeball into the air and vanishing when Gardevoir had appeared, reappearing behind the Gengar. "Umbreon shadowball again!"

{...would I need a dodge count for traine-/brick'd}
"Oh no you don't; Hex it, Eosphos!" She called out as she saw the Gengar getting ready to aim another move towards the defense-less trainer. Rotom acted instantly, sending a familiar-looking move, but this time towards the Gengar, its attack closing in faster than the hypnosis, taking advantage of the wild Gengar's paralysis effect.
Eosphos the Rotom-Mow Lv 80 170/170 ATK 133 | DEF 197 | SATK 180 | SDEF 197 | SPD 165 | Levitate | Dodge Count:0 Discharge, Leaf Storm, Hex, Thunder Wave
Wild Gengar Lv 20 23/59 | Paralyzed |ATK 27 | DEF 32 | SATK 63 | SDEF 44 | SPD 50| Levitate | Dodge Count: 0 Mean Look, Curse, Lick, and Hypnosis
The Gengar was too busy gloating to realize the little Pokemon had used Thunderbolt. It hit the ghost pokemon fully, making it loosen the tongue-wrap around the yellow Pokemon.
After the shocking experience, the Gengar's eyes narrowed down upon the Plusle; it was reeeeaaallly angered by it now. It prepared to use Curse, but then decided against it - his body felt weak, and now he wasn't sure if he could survive the side effect. Instead, the paralyzed ghost aimed Hypnosis upon the Plusle; that would surely give it enough time to send a final blow.

Gengar Lv.80 0/209 [Atk. 98 Def. 114 Sp.Atk. 237 Sp.Def. 161 Spd. 161]
The Gengar was so close when the Rotom had hit it. The attack was too much on its body to handle but it surpisingly had enough energy to run and disappear into the shadows it came from. But before it complelely went away, it gumbled to its self that the humans and their pokemon wouldn't be so lucky next time.
Gengar Lv.45 0/122 [Atk. 56 Def. 66 Sp.Atk. 135 Sp.Def. 93 Spd. 107]
The Gengar was surpised that the trainer had disappeared and looked around for him for a second before hearing him issue a command to the Umbreon. It immedately turned around to see the the trainer and the Gardevoir standing behind it. And thats when the Umbreon's Shadow Ball hit the Gengar in the back. Like the other Gengar, it disappeared into the shadows. This time, it was mumbling something about how they failed to protect the peace of the sprirts that rest upstairs.
Plusle 42/57 [Atk.29 Def. 24 Sp.Atk. 40 Sp.Def. 40 Spd. 44]
As soon as Plusle was released, it fell to the ground and shook off all saliva that was on its fur. It was so concerned about its fur that it didn't see the Gengar coming at it. "Plusle! Don't look up at the Gengar!" Serena shouted in concern for Plusle. Sadly, Plusle did as it was told but it accidently looked up to see why. Plulse then fell over after looking into the Gengars eyes and falling into a deep sleep.
