Thunderclouds condensed in the sky above, thunder rumbling angrily as the world around darkened in shadow. "Not this aga-aiiiiiiiiin" Moria cried, tossing herself to the ground away from Nidoking just as it was hit by no less than a dozen bolts, striking it, searing the tattered ground, the large Pokemon not even flinching, seemingly bored by the electrical discharge sparking off it's rocky body.
Moria got shakily to her feet, brushing herself off, glancing over at the officer, slightly reddened, wondering if he'd seen the unsavvy preformance. She shook her head, clearing it. That attack had been powerful, but the insect looked to be on it's last legs, stumbling slightly as it turned to eye it's opponents.
She turned her head to the officer "Let's take this thing down! I'm counting on you to back me!" She turned. It was unglamorous, but since it had so far been effective, Moria turned to Nidoking, raising her voice and ordering another Flamethrower. As the blast of searing flame raced towards the monster, she wondered if this would be enough to take it down for good.

Lecce stiffened when he saw the Liligant starting another twirl, it's attention seemingly focused on his Nero. So far the pokemon's luck hadn't been in their favor, after all. However, he noticed that this time, Nero seemed to relax some, and give a last shake of it's head. Well... whatever the move had done, it didn't seem to have done anything bad. (Though one couldn't be sure anymore, with so many techniques discovered every few years; he'd definitely be looking into this species' moves after this battle just to be safe.)
He heard Moria start to say something, and turned his head to listen, but suddenly felt the prickle of ozone around them, goosebumps raising on his arms. Nearly having been hit with the stray bolts so many times in this (albeit massive) battle he was quick to jump back a few steps, hoping he was out of range as it struck the two nearby pokemon again.
He gave a weak smirk as he caught sight of Moria. So big, bad Rockets could be embarrassed as well. Seeing that she seemed to be unhurt, save her pride if that possible blush was any indication, Lecce's kept his reply to a small nod. "Right!"
With that, he caught Nero's attention and ordered him to give one more round of Earth Power. He certainly hoped this spamming would be enough; he doubted the city streets could take much more, and this would be pushing it.

(Since its been 24 hours from the last post, I'll go right ahead.)
Lily (Lilligant) 37/140 [Atk. 50 Def. 60 Sp.Atk. 110 Sp.Def. 90 Spd. 80][Dodge: 1]
Thunder roared as a fury of lighting bolts came down at Lily but Serena predicted the move and shouted to Lily. "Twirl away from there!" Lily gave a simple nod before lifting its arms, spun very fast and moved to the side gracefully, dodging the lighting just in time. Serena took a moment to see that Genesect was on its last stand and Serena's next command will probably end this battle. "Lily, lets end the show with our best dance. Lets use Petal Dance!" Lily happily agreed before starting to spin again, but only this time petals started to surround the spining Lilligant as it continued to spin before a small tornado of petals engulfed the sight of Lily. And with a twirl, Serena gave the command. "Now unleash the Petal Dance and lets put an end to this!" Finally, Lily stopped and threw the tornado at the Genesect with great force.

(Dude, why'd you skip me? It's only twenty four hours and I have been mostly active. i just couldn't get on....seriously, have some patience.) Blaziken [280/352]
The Blaziken felt the air heat up as it was struck by lightning. It appeared to be barely injured, quickly retaliating with a blaze kick. Virance shouted, "Come on, show that over-sized roach whose boss!"

(24hr thing. Ninja'd by fakt. Also, it's already been said that after 24 hours, we can skip a non-poster. It's just how it was, I'm sorry that you couldn't come on as often as others, but this won't be the only major event, so yeah. /pat pat.)"Okays, looks like this is finally nearly over," Vee called out from the shelter she took, after the second wave of Thunder had gone past. Levia wasn't around; it had its orders to Shadow Sneak that big bug. All she could do now was watch. Levia zoomed in towards the Genesect. When it was a reasonable distance away, it stopped; however, its shadow didn't. Moving at an amazing speed, its shadow stretched out towards the Bug Steel Pokemon in front of it, effectively binding it down; no matter how big one was, if they had a shadow... it was an easy hit. | Levia the Shedinja | Lv 30 | | HP 01/01 | SD = 2 (ATK +40) | Wonderguard | | ATK 74 | DEF 34 | SATK 23 | SDEF 31 | SPD 38 | Dodge count: 01 left | | Shadow Sneak | Sword Dance | Thief | X-Scissor |

[Genepe's Shadow Sneak hits, doing 56 damage!] (Moria's Flamethrower lands and does 342 Damage) Genesect HP reached 0/1420
At long last, after a well, resisted attempt of the incoming attacks from all over the place, the Genesect's movements slowed to a halt. Its body stood still for a moment, and for a few seconds, silence filled the Fuchsia City.
Then, as sudden as it came, the silence gave way to a giant CRASH as the Genesect fell, its energy depleted. A thin dust storm blew across Fuchsia, or what's left of it.
The impact also caused a mini quake, which was more than enough for bird Pokemons that were roosting in Saffron to fly into the sky, Oddishes to bury themselves in the ground and Kakunas to drop from trees like there's no tomorrow.
Silence filled the land once again afterwards, save for the distant screeching of the disrupted Bird Pokemons near Saffron.
The fight was finally over.
[The event is somewhat over. Feel free to continue on for a few posts to exit. The event Pokemon will be given to the winner in the near future.]

(gonna continue to wrap up this story segment properly)
The giant pokemon fell, onlookers watching, stunned as the titan finally went down. As it's body slammed into the ground, a massive blast of dust and debris flew up, washing over the war-torn city of Fushia. Nidoking curled around it's master as it's rocky hide was pelted with sand, ash and rubble from the ground, the whipping wind that accompanied the dust loud and stinging to the ears as it roared past.
Then...silence.
Moria peered out from around her Pokemon, coming out and surveying the now-quiet battlefield. The monster lay prone in the middle of city, where it had stood and where it had fallen. The damage, surprisingly, was restricted to the decimated PokeMart and surrounding street, lightning damage evident on a few of the further structures. Here and there, magma and melted rock cooled, beginning to hiss and steam as a light drizzle fell from what had previously been thunderclouds, already beginning to wash away the dirt and ash.
She took a deep breath, the air cooling as the rain fell, Nidoking looking slightly grudging as the water trickled down it's hide. She called it back to it's ball, the purple pokemon vanishing as it had appeared, in a beam of bright red light. Pocketing the ball, she spared a glance at the officer who had been her ally for the battle.
...the battle. The battle was over. How long until the officers still around turned on the surrounding Rocket members? She was sure that he, at least, would have immediate thoughts of finding..and perhaps arresting..her now that the action was over. She turned, attempting to sneak away around the corner quietly, intent on slipping away first, then to call backup members from the surrounding areas to secure the defeated Pokemon. She was sure they would have some use for it..she would report this morning's incident to the Boss personally. "...assssss soon as I'm safely away" she thought, glancing somewhat warily over her shoulder to see if she'd been noticed.

Lecce stayed tense a long moment as the dust began to clear, the beginning rain (perhaps brought on by the calling for so much thunder?) seemed to change the landscape, though it was only revealing the aftermath wrought on the city. He cringed slightly at what he saw; it was all the sort of scene he would expect from a war, not a pokemon battle. Not such a small one, at least.
As he gazed around, the familiar black uniform beside him flickered out of the corner of his eye. Quickly, he turned to keep the young woman in black in his sights, only to find her moving farther and farther away, already enough distance that he would need to give chase soon if he intended to capture her.
If. The word caused him to halt, only half a step taken in her direction when the thought hit him. It was a simple decision--Moria was a Rocket, a bad guy. He had to pursue. Yet... with much of the damage around them in need of immediate attention, and citizens that would soon begin returning to their homes, some in need of assistance along with orderliness, for once Lecce couldn't muster enough concern to start the chase.
His sense of justice roared its outrage at the lack of action. While his thoughts wrestles with one another, he turned his gaze to Nero, who was looking up at the sky, head tilted and ears erect, as if listening to for some hidden voice in the drops.
Finally, he comprimized. Turning his gaze to Moria, he asked a question. "...Why do you do it?"

She was almost safely around the corner of the buildings, able to disappear from view, when his quiet words, even said loud enough to reach her, stopped her dead in her tracks. She stood silently for a moment, rainwater soaking into the uniform and dripping off the brim of her cap, her breath fogging as she exhaled a shaky breath, feeling his stare piercing her back.
She almost asked what he meant, but she was fairly certain she knew what he was asking. Her immediate reaction was to respond flippantly, afterall, she knew what the answer was, didn't she? The reason she'd joined Team Rocket in the first place..
..but as she thought of it, she knew her real answer, the uniform suddenly seeming to weigh a tremendous amount, and not just from the water soaked into it. She answered at last, in a starting and nervous voice, speaking almost too low to hear "..Why do I do it..?" she smiled wistfully "..I think I used to know that. Why does anyone do anything in this world? For money? Power? Even fame, as so many trainers set out to obtain.. What it was I was after..I don't know if that's my reason anymore."
She turned around, facing him, her face blank, then forming a small smile, her composure returning only slightly "What was your name, again?"

Lecce crinkled his brow as she spoke, straining to catch every word over the soft hum of the rain falling around them. He was tempted to call her out on the mysterious answer--not that he had really expected much of one; it wasn't as if they were friends--but the slight waver in her voice reached him. It lacked the smoothness it seemed accustomed to carrying more often than not, and as she continued, he suddenly felt that it was not his place to inquire further. (Not here, at least. Not after fighting briefly as comrades for what felt like months instead of minutes.)
He blinked at the question, and thought, 'How.... odd.' With her expression beginning to unnerve him, his stomach starting to coil and burn anxiously as she forced a smile, he answered. "...It's Lecce." He paused, adding after a moment, "...Den Lecce."

"Lecce.." she mused, working the name over in her thoughts for a moment. "I'll be sure to remember that" she thought inwardly, looking up as she faced him, her eyes making contact with his.
"Well Lecce.." she tilted her head a fraction to the side as she observed him, her expression becoming one of simple curiousity, her eyes turning soft, losing their normal cold, calculated edge "...what now?" She doubted he would simply let her walk away if he could manage it, but at the same time, doubting that he would simply ignore the rest of the populace, innocent civilians caught sleeping or unaware by the devastation, now that the danger was past.
...still, she was trying to hide the tenseness in her legs, ready to escape if he turned to pursue her anyway.

The Genesect lay motionless for a time, before it lost its larger size, slowly dwindling to the size and strength of what it used to be, before the experimentation. It seemed to be refreshed, afterwards, and stood back up again, although it did not seem aggressive. Instead, it walked toward Moria, as if to thank her for releasing him from his rage.

Moria's confrontation by the officer was cut short as she spied movement at the corner of her eye. She spun quickly, to face it, letting out a cry of surprise. The insect they had all barely just taken down was on it's feet again, and had begun to stalk towards them, although it had dwindled in size and seemed most focused on her.
"That thing is back up!" She reached back for Nidoking's pokeball at her side. He was tired, but the only thing she had that could match it, and surely it couldn't have much power left--
She stopped. Though it was approaching, it didn't seem aggressive. She decided to wait and see what it was doing, before risking another fight.

The pokemon stopped near Moria, watching her for a moment. It was back to its original height, and was shorter than most people. It still held an aura of power about it, but it now seemed calm, its rampage subsided. The bug-like pokemon pointed towards Moria's belt, as if motioning towards her remaining, unused poke balls.

(blah blah blah, hey everyone, we're back, see if we can't get wardn in here :U I made this too long-winded, so excuse me if my posts are simple to finish this)
Moria looked at the towering insect, then it's indication. "How smart is this thing?" She wondered as she reached down and unhooked a empty capsule. Hesitating a moment, she bemusedly tossed the ball underhand at it gently, the container clicking open against it and swathing it in a red glow.

Genesect did nothing to resist, and the capture was easy. It seemed content to be caught by the one who had struck the final blow, and released it from its destructive rampage.

The capsule didn't even rock after the creature disappeared inside, only waiting a moment before giving a gentle ping, the indicator turning dull red at the successful capture. Moria waited for a moment, then hesitantly leant down, picking up the pokeball with caution, almost feeling as if the tremendous power inside might break free at a simple touch.
Holding it in her hand, she looked back to the police officer, not with malice or concern, but her eyes were softer, and her acting was gone. Or almost gone, as she unhooked a second bag, containing the pokemon stolen from the Safari Zone that morning, from around her shoulder, setting it on the ground "This pokemon seems powerful. I..I don't need any of these anymore." She said, clearly covering. She glanced away "Do whatever you want with them."
With that, she shot around the corner without looking back. If anyone had followed her even an instant later, they would have found themselves at a dead end, empty save for swirling papers and old boxes.

Lecce stared at the bag a moment, too surprised by the Bug pokemon's actions and ensuing capture to respond. By the time he''d moved to question Moria one more time--what about the bag?--she was long gone.
"....."
Finally, as the rain finished its mission to soak him to the bone, he moved toward the bag. He couldn't help the small, wry smile at the weight of it as his picked it up. With one more glance around the city street, he turned to head off. The others seemed to be handling their own conversations after the great battle; he saw no need to barge in, and quietly made his way back to the small police station just a few blocks down, cradling the bag in both arms.
