(I'm waiting for genepe, since it isn't really fair for us to keep doing things w/out input on what her pokemon could be doing to try and counter it)

{Pffft, school and what-not.}
Aridane was quite fast on her web, even faster than on land. It was, however, not fast enough to avoid the flying pokemon closing in. That was when she remembered that there was an ally close by; an ally who could save her! but first, she had to tell him somehow. He would probably in the vents close to the walls, then...
With all the speed she could muster, Aridane headed straight for the nearest vent; all she needed was to call out, and the vents would echo her desperate plea to Duracell. ------
The Magical Leaf surprised Spitik, though it seemed like her web was holding out for now. She wasn't sure what to do, as Vee hadn't instructed what she should do in times like this. Well, the only thing that came up in her mind was to prevent them from going through.
Coming out from the shadows to get a good range, Spitik let out a spark of Thunder Wave from her body towards the unsuspecting Kirlia as a warning.

"Flyingmouse, Aerial Ace!" The Emolga quickly slashed at the web in the way of Rikari and Minagi. "Good job! Keep cutting, we're gonna break through that fleet! web!" Ordered Rikari in a more mature tone.

Minagi pulled out her meowth as the Spinarak went towards the vents. "Quick Loki, use Swift!" she shouted, hoping it would hurt the pokemon enough to stop its....w/e the noise was that it was making into the vents. The meowth looked slightly surprised from being so quickly called out, but shot the starry attack at the Spinarak.
(shall we try using the pokemon's actual stats? or would you guys like to stick with bulbapedia for the sake of this rp? This is also my 1st time dealing with battles now that the atk/def concept has been implemented too, so throw out a friendly reminder if I goof somewhere. Since we haven't decided, I'll work the hp bar into the next post.)

{Well, I personally don't mind using the stat calc, really. here is my Spinarak's. Lv 15 | HP 37 | ATK 29 | DEF 17 | SATK 17 | SDEF 18 | SPD 14 | /calculates your meowth for Swift [Base Power 60, SPE] LV 15 | SATK 18 apparently, so... um, would that be 60% of 18? then 10.8 [11 rounded] Just tell me if i get any calculations wrong, and I don't mind if we go bulbapedia way just for this one, really.
Also, fleet, wut}Two things happened; one, Aridane felt her webs being helplessly cut off. Now she was really in a jam. Two, it also came to her attention that she was seeing stars... wait, she was hit by the stars! THEY'RE EVERYWHERE sob That was more than enough to stop her from trying to alert Duracell; afterall, she was sure he heard her. If not... Well, now that her escape route was gone, what could she do but fight? The little spider launched herself from the wall suddenly since there was no point staying on the wall now that she was found [and instinctly, she wanted to stay faaaarrrr away from Aerial Ace and that Emolga how does i spell new pokemon names] heading straight for a random direction. Spreading her legs wide to get a good grip when she landed, she didn't realize that Minagi was in the way. Well, if her trainer was around, maybe she would've actually thought before she acted, but that wasn't the case now, was it? ------ click click click cli-The vents were suddenly full of strange clicking sounds as Duracell followed the echoing voice. It wasn't hard for the ant-like pokemon to follow in the darkness, but he was far away; he could only hope that Aridane would be okay. ------ "Huh wha-?"That was the first reaction when Vee caught the clicking sound. It wasn't that loud, but being in a silent museum and right next to the vent helped her hear it. She knew what the sound was and what that signified, as Duracell would never be that noisy unless in emergency. Just what was going on? She couldn't leave her post, since the storeroom was where she needed to guard, but her pokemons... "...I need to find my prince soon..." she sighed, mumbling incoherently under her breath. Aridane 21/37 | ATK 29 | DEF 17 | SATK 17 | SDEF 18 | SPD 14 |

Loki 38/38 atk 21, def 14, spatk 18, spdef 19, spd 39 Minagi smiled....not really pleasantly...but more like a mix of deviousness and desperation. she HATED insects, and the thing landed RIGHT in front of her. Completely forgetting about the mission, all the trainer could think was 'ewwewweww...Kill it...KILL IT!!' Unaware that Rikari was still present, she reached for her other pokeball and called out Ninetales. She had no intention of letting this little bug get away. Vivi 47/47 atk 29, def 31, spatk 32, spdef 37, spd 36 ( GenepeOrgel, looks like you have the right idea. Meowth's ability is technician though, so anything 60 power or below is multiplied by 1.5 <3 So that turns it to 18% of 90, which rounds down to 16. Also, Emolga. just change the n you've been using to l. Also, if you could..would you set up the hp bar the way mine's set up? Just to make it easier to see who's where in health.)

Kirlia saw the Thunder wave just in time for it to hit her in the face. "Figures there would be a pokemon." Alfonse said returning the pokemon. "Kirlia's not much of a battler so I'm just going to switch her out." He said to Kirlia's attacker as he let out Umbreon.
(I'm not quite sure how the battle system works, I've read the threads a few time but i'm not quite smart enough to figure it out T_T)

"Flyingmouse, use Shock Wave!" Ordered Rikari, in a ruthless tone.
Suddenly, a wave of electricity flew through the room, in a spectacular fashion.

(I can try to explain it sorta easy for you flagella. I'm kinda cheating and using this calculator. Basically if you're using a physical move, its: [atk stat]% of [base power of move] so~ if you have a zubat with an attack of 35, and it's using Bite, then it would be 35%[stat] of 60 [move's power] The result will be 15 damage. to calculate the overall damage, you need to look at the opponents def/spdef. It will be [your stats]-[opponents stats]=[% increase/reduction] Then it'll be [damage]-[% change] So say you're zubat is using Bite against a machop wit ha defense of 40. Since 35-40 is -5, you'll take the base damage of the attack [from above] of 15, and subtract 5%. 5% of 15 will be .75, which is rounded to 1. So the outcome will be 15-1, for a total of 14 damage. If you need an example, or help with this rp, I'll try to calculate it.......also, if I'm reading/understanding this wrong, I hope someone will correct me)

{Sob, never-miss attacks everywhere.
RE: calculations. Isn't 35% of 60 something like 21? Also, the overall damage one; [your stats] - [opp. stats] : would that be [your s/DEF - opp s/DEF] or [your s/ATK - s/DEF]? }

(whoops I derp'd. 35% of 60 is 21.
and as for the stat equation its [your atk]-[opponents def] OR [your spatk]-[opponents spdef])

{Let me calculate correctly rather than derp around and make the calculations go longer than the actual battles.}Aridane 06/37 | ATK 29 | DEF 17 | SATK 17 | SDEF 18 | SPD 14 | Swarm (Insomnia) That's it. After being hit by stars, now it was electricity. It was time she started attacking back. The closest pokemon she could find was that Meowth. Setting the cat pokemon as her target, Aridane closed in for a Poison Jab, its foreleg glowing purple as she attacked. The vents nearby, the one in which Aridane had been on only a few moments ago, suddenly burst open to reveal Duracell with his massive steel jaws. His antennae were moving quite rapidly, sensing the current outnumbered situation. The ant jumped soon after, his jaws opening wide to Crunch Emolga who happened to be the closest enemy. Duracell 45/45 | ATK 44 | DEF 39 | SATK 20 | SDEF 23 | SPD 41 | Hustle [attack increases by 1.5] (Swarm) ------ To Spitik's delight, she had successfully repelled an enemy pokemon! The trainer had switched for a different pokemon, a darker one this time. Well, as long as it wasn't a fire or a rock type, she had nothing to fear; and with that, Spitik went for another spark of Thunder Wave just like before.

"Flyingmouse, Dodge it and use Aerial Ace!" Flyingmouse successfully dodged Duracell's crunch, and counter-attacked with areal ace.

(how shall we work moves that have "chance of" effects? Is there a way to roll, or a random # generator we could use? cuz that move has a 30% chance of poison x.x)
Loki 11/38 atk 21, def 14, spatk 18, spdef 19, spd 39
Vivi 47/47 atk 29, def 31, spatk 32, spdef 37, spd 36
Loki was knocked off his feet by the sheer force of the jab, and took a moment to recover from the shock. Vivi, in return, jumped in front of the Meowth and used extrasensory against the little bug. Minagi snickered as her Ninetales rushed to the rescue; it was pointless to order the creature around, but Mina could always count on her to protect the younger team members.

( rikari: You know you're only allowed two dodges per pokemon for the entire battle, right? minagi: Er... I don't really know. I'd recommend doing a random number generator for numbers 1-100, having it pick one number, and if it's between 1 and a certain number, asjuejdeldoida hard to explain. Okay, so that has a 30% chance. So, numbers 1~100, and it picks 26. It's between 1 and 30, so it's poisoned. If it picks a number higher than 30, the pokemon isn't poisoned. Does that make sense?)

(@tara, he knows...whether or not he retains the info every time I tell him is another story
and that definitely made sense, so I'll use that. to generalize it more...since moves have diff %s, its random generator from 1-100, and if the # is below the %, then it's affected, right?)

(Yeah, I guess that's what I mean. So if the move's percentile rate is 50%, and you get a 46, it's affected. But if you get a 57, it's not affected. I just don't know how we'd keep people from abusing this when it comes to battles.... I mean, it's easy to just say that you got a number when you actually got something different. I guess it might not matter that much, unless it's in a tournament. If it's in a tournament, I'd probably do all of the number calculations myself. ...But then how do you know that I'm being honest~? BWAHAHAHAHA!! ....lolno, just kidding. xD)

(But you're the boss, your word is law, whether it's honest or not XD we could always make someone start screen-shotting if they "happen" to never be affected)

Moria was watching the building with the Boss from aways away after the small team had entered. She hoped that they could work together, utilize stealth, cunning, and other methods to get in cleanly, and back out, without the slightest trace of suspici-
She watched the building closely. Just now, she'd seen it. A faint yellow flash in a upper window. And there was another, this time a arc of electricity was visible fully for a moment before extinguishing itself into nothing.
"...so much for stealth" She thought miserably. She wondered if they had encountered a foe strong enough to warrent Gengar to execute it's orders yet. She had ordered it to trail them invisibly, and guard them should a foe that seemed to be able to back them into a corner appear.
Still, she saw no signs of other activity after a moment of watching, and hoped that whatever it was was finished.
