TEXTWALL 2!; SON OF TEXTWALL!
..ehm, anyway, I'm too tired to make a long reply, or, indeed, read much beyond the response to just my post. To be clear, I knew what some of the rules already were, and how they operated, I was just putting down everything I thought the new RP should be founded on, whether on not it was already a rule. As for the Team splitting..it's a bad idea in retrospect. Forget about it.

To answer your question Tara, I meant to say that whatever ranking system you come up with, it can be used for UC Agents too with a few other rules like perhaps an increse of missions to go up a rank if they are under suspection of the boss, etc.
Also I like Minagi's ideas. Along with most ideas here, they would make things interesting. Like going off to other region to catch pokemon there. Also, why not raid a pokelab to steal starters and trainers pokemon that are stored there? It sounds like a good idea. We could also take a few notes from the anime to figure out more ideas.
I have an idea for obtaining shinys. Why not include them as a reward in the reward system. And to make sure someone doesn't make a army of shinies, put up a limit of 4 per account.
I had another idea but I forgot it so I'll end it here for now.

@claudia: Yeah, we’re probably not going to include all of the regions just yet. We need more active members for that, since we’d also have to include the new regions’ teams, as well, and that’d mean a lot more characters needing to be created. And yes, I can understand why you’d hate to choose between your pokemon if we went with the limited number of pokemon per character, but.. you have to understand that there is a good idea behind it, otherwise I wouldn’t have suggested it. I like the idea, because it means that having one or two pokemon would encourage people to work together in a team, which means more interaction between members, more roleplaying, and a more active site overall. You also don’t have to have all of your favorite pokemon on one character, because I know I’m not going to. It also encourages more character creation, because if people want their favorite pokemon still, they’d have to make more characters, and because of the 2:1 ratio, there would be more characters on each side, and would make more diverse factions and teams, especially since every character’s partner pokemon will be unique, their personalities based off of their bond with their individual trainer. Because there would be more character creation, it’d mean more roleplaying and make the site less of a ghost town than the one that we had, even if we only have a small number of active members. Yes, it’d be a hassle to make a lot of different characters and such, but it’d make things more interesting for everyone, and you don’t HAVE to make more than one character. I myself will probably make about four or so. The trainer card idea is a really good one, too, especially if people make more than one. It’d make things so much simpler for everyone to have something quick and easy to reference to. Plus there would be a whole lot more diversity, especially since people would need to rely on teams more often, since they would need someone to help balance the weaknesses of their pokemon. Plus, it’d provide another reason for TR’s split, since those who were loyal to Giovanni wouldn’t like the idea of bonding with pokemon, or other people, so they’d want to fight to keep things the way they were. So does that mean I would be the official trainer card maker? Because I really would like to for some reason XD *bounces happily* And the pet Pokemon, like your cranky Persian who doesn't wanna play with me, they aren't part of your team and just sorta stand next to ya and look cute? Because I would LOVE to have my Rocket Pichu sit upon my head and be adorable! I have revamped my trainer-card design, slightly. Removed the badges part of the card, added a rank slot, and a team slot (because apparently multiple trainers have to team up, according to Tara's text wall) and put my pet Pokemon (Twee the Rocket Pichu) by my feet

Now I remember a something important. If we are going with the idea of sending teams to other regions, what are we going to do about Black City/White Forest and Opelucid City since one is like a ancient city and the other is a future city? Are we just going to keep one of the choices for a pair and pretend the other never existed?
...Btw, a friend of mine hacked into my account and messed with my settings including my rank so just saying that I didn't do it.

If i remember correctly, we won't be implementing that right now. We don't have enough people to warrant needing other regions yet, so worrying about unova is pretty far off.
as for the areas themselves, I imagine we could allow them to co-exist? Black City could be in their original location, while White forest (being a part of nature anyways) sits somewhere a little off the map? As for Opelucid, it exists normally in both games, so there'd be no reason to exclude it specifically from the region (if we were to even use it)

Oh god, so many textwalls... I like the idea of reducing battles, and overall simplifying the battle system. I got way too confused, and had to look it up every move just to get it right. Also, the one or two each is also a good idea. Basically, I like where this is going.
