Amongst the cries of various pokemon, the whistling of Team Rocket Elite Laz occasionally broke through. The male walked with his hands shoved into his pockets, red eyes flickering around him as he wandered past cages of various sizes and builds packed with pokemon of various types and species. There were shelves too, packed neatly with pokeballs. Laz's pace slowed, his eyes scanning over the notecard attached to one shelf. ' Rattata' it read. The shelf above also had a card, this one reading ' Zubat'. Grunt pokemon, Laz realized. The standard stock that was given away to new recruits, those who joined Team Rocket without any worthwhile pokemon of their own. It was an interesting place, this room full of captured pokemon. Turning away from the shelves of pokeballs, Laz removed his glasses and, folding them, slid them into his shirt pocket. Red eyes flicked across the room before he began walking again. "There's been an increase of interest in Vulpix lately," he murmured out loud as he walked past cages. "Perhaps I should look into those. Ah, but I think the scientists have been working with Sentret lately, so they may be running low... and a trip over to Johto might not be so bad..." He didn't seem bothered by the cries of pokemon, sometimes increasing and sometimes fading as he passed, sometimes angry and sometimes fearful and scared... Pausing, Laz turned his gaze across the room. Was that the door? Well, it was probably just some grunts bringing in the latest catches... Nothing of interest, really. And so Laz's attention shifted back to the Clefairy cowering in one corner of the cage he stood before. How boring... he thought, shaking his head and moving along to a cage filled with Growlithe, the canine pokemon growling at him as he passed.

"I see you're not easily impressed." a voice came from behind him, sharp and crisply cutting through the sounds of pokemon. At her voice, all growling and whimpering ceased; even the Growlithe retreated to the back of their cage, as a figure seemed to appear out of the gloom. She very nearly blended in with the shadows, with her dark hair and black cloak. With her face outlined a little more clearly, it became apparent that this was Tara, the leader of Team Rocket, as well as the owner of everything in this room... including Laz.
Motioning with her head to a concealed, security-enhanced door, she told him, "We keep the more dangerous, the more powerful species in the most secured area. We wouldn't want any Grunts thinking they could handle something like them, now would we?"

The way that the woman's voice cut through the background noise mercilessly was like white noise, demanding that the proper attention be given to it. It caused Laz to stop walking instinctively, one hand lifting to remove the glasses that he'd earlier slipped into his shirt pocket. He slipped them on without a word on the matter, his world receiving a dim filter that shaded everything... when he wanted it that way. A small smile twitched at the elite member's lips as he looked at Tara over the top of his glasses, though he never quite met her gaze. "Unfortunately, ma'am, it's difficult to be impressed by things one has seen before." The curse of too much traveling, probably. The imported Absol were still Absol, and there wasn't much of a difference between seeing them caged in Kanto versus in the wild in Hoenn.
His gaze flicked away from Tara to examine the door she had drawn his attention to. He couldn't help the curious noise that fell from his lips, mixing in with the smile that still continued to pull at them. "Of course not. Ever the sensible woman, Miss Boss." It was certainly a transparent act, the character who spoke blasely of the door as though it didn't interest him and he weren't, at that very moment, tempted to take a shot at the door's security measures just to see the secrets beyond.

By the knowing smile that drew over her lips, it was apparent she knew exactly what was on his mind. She didn't respond to what he'd said, making her way past him with a powerful authority that seemed etched into her very figure. She swiped a card on the datapad, along with a quick security code, and an audible password, and the door opened. She nudged it open with the toe of her shoe, looking back at him for a moment. "Come," she commanded in an amused tone, entering the room first.
It was larger than the first, mainly because its cages were larger, and with more added security to hold the pokemon. These were the more dangerous of the captured pokemon, the pseudo-legendary pokemon, and the high level ones. There was the occasional rarity, such as a few shiny pokemon, but altogether they seemed only a a few notches higher than the ones in the previous room. More powerful than the others, certainly, but nothing in the way of legendaries. However, on the opposite wall, there was another door, with even more security measures in place.... possibly enough to warrant being what many of the Rockets spoke of in whispers: the Boss's private stash.

Ash Windfall, passing by the Team Rocket headquarters, looked at the storage, and heard people talking inside. Curious, he went inside, quickly looking at the pokemon in the cages. As he walked in, some pokémon cried at him.He gave them a cold stare, and they stopped.
He noticed the high-security door, and went through it, as someone unlocked it.He then noticed Laz and the boss.He then just stood there, without saying a word.

Initially, Laz hadn't moved an inch, watching as Tara went to the door and set about disarming the security that protected it. A card, a security code, and a spoken password. The latter two could be taken care of easily by observation. The card might be harder. The Boss had one, obviously, but it seemed like a bad idea to attempt and steal from the Boss. The admins probably had some though, and maybe even the executives. He would feel less guilty of stealing for them. The spoken password might caught trouble if it used voice recognition though... but nothing a smart pokemon or a tape recorder couldn't solve. Of course, Laz didn't plan on stealing anything from the room, and he didn't even know for certain if what was beyond the door was really so interesting... he just hated the idea of a door that was locked to him.
His thoughts were broken when the Boss spoke again, prompting Laz into motion again as he picked up the pace to follow. Entering the new room, Laz couldn't help the low whistle that passed his lips as he looked around. This room was definitely a step up from the previous room he'd been in. There were rare pokemon, such as Clefairy, Vulpix, and Chansey, and then there were rare pokemon, such as the Dratini family or shiny pokemon. Then there were the high leveled pokemon. It may have "just" been a Persian or Rhydon, but that didn't mean that it wasn't the stuff legends would be made from if used in the Battle Arena. He noticed another door across the room, likely locked, but dismissed it for the moment. This room was enough to capture his attention for the moment.
"Certainly not the stuff you'd want the wrong people to handle..." he murmured as he began to drift away from Tara, moving closer to the cages but still keeping what felt like a safe distance. It was in looking back toward Tara that he noticed the other male who'd joined them in the room, a silent eyebrow arched in inquiry. Had he already been there, or had he slipped in after them, while Laz's attention was caught up in the new sights allowed to him?

Tara noticed the new arrival, but said nothing. She only watched Laz's reaction, and it was entertaining, indeed. Ash was an Admin, therefore had a key to enter the more secure area of the storage "sheds", as she called them. However, no one but herself had the key to the second locked door.
Her smirk widened slightly, and she nodded, moving over to one of the cages. A shiny Vulpix cowered in the corner of its cage as she approached, which seemed to amuse the woman. "Of course, these are not all of the pokemon we've acquired, but mainly the ones we haven't put to use, as of yet." she told them, her contentment with the hoard of pokemon in her possession obvious in her voice. Unlike Giovanni, she was not as greedy as he had been. She was willing to be more patient, to let things settle in a way that let their plans take hold of this world, whether it took years or simply weeks. She was simply a little more vain than Giovanni had been.

Ash, silent, looked at Laz, examining him.He still didn't know the Elite Member, and because of that, coudn't trust him yet.He noticed how he looked at the pokémon, and how impressed he apparently was.By that simple obsevation, Ash got some thoughts about that person.
"I see you're very impressed."Ash finally said, looking at Laz.He then began waiting for an answer, that would define Ash's first impression of Laz.

Laz did notice that Tara seemed unbothered by the presence of the other male, and so found that it seemed safe to assume his being in the room, whether he had followed or been in their originally, wasn't something to be worried over. "Of course..." he repeated absently, bringing up one hand to bring his glasses to rest further down on his nose, allowing him more ease in looking over them at the various pokemon. His attention briefly lingered on an Alakazam. "While you have quite the sizeable collection of pokemon here, it still seems smaller than what I'd expect of an organization such as Team Rocket."
Those metal bands and small machines... they're probably to restrict Alakazam's abilities. Perhaps it has yet to be ta- He was giving further attention to the Alakazam when Ash spoke up, though the words of the admin broke through Laz's thoughts. "It's a sizeable collection of both strong and rare pokemon, all gathered into one place," he remarked. One hand moved, gesturing toward a cage that held a Dragonite. "Before now, I've only seen some of these pokemon from a distance, only in part due to having no interest in training one of my own." He canted his head slightly, looking toward Ash. "I believe it would be more accurate to say I felt respect toward the strength and power of Team Rocket, rather than that I was impressed."

"A man of science, I see."Ash said, while observing Laz.He then moved in near a gyarados, watching him."Boss, do we still have that Red Gyarados?"Ash asked, interested.
Then, the Gyarados in the tank would roar.Ash ignored him, as his thoughts were more concentrated on the Boss and in the Reg Gyarados, as he aways liked the thought of one.

Turning away from the Vulpix, Tara arched an eyebrow at their interaction. It was interesting to see the two of them together. It reminded her of two Mightyena within the same pack, never having seen the other before, assessing the other as if attempting to determine whether they were threatened by their presence.
Breaking into their conversation with apparent ease, she moved towards them, gesturing to include the entire room and all of its contents, as she said, "As I have said, these are the more recent captures, those which have not been put to use. It is small, indeed, but the others are either in the use of the Executives and Admins, or have been moved to another holding area. Some are in the Laboratory, being experimented on to unleash their full potential, or are being trained to further hone their skills, to further benefit Team Rocket and our goals. These are the rarities, the untapped power, and will soon have their full potential unleashed. When they have been fully trained to my satisfaction, they will be moved to a more secure location, awaiting their next use."

Cutting through the room a voice came out of the shadows behind a medium sized cage in the corner of the room, "For a few, soon has become now." as the speaker moved into the light, Surprisingly enough, the speaker was actually only a young boy, but before anyone could react, the mysterious individual turned to the boss, "I have completed work on project 30D, i require one of the strongest pokémon that i can only find here, I was thinking of this creature" he said as he motioned towards the covered cage from behind which he had emerged.

Raising an eyebrow, she turned her attention to the young boy. She turned away from the other two, mildly interested in what pokemon he had in mind. Moving towards him, Tara asked, "And what might this pokemon be?"

with faint signs of a grin the boy responded, "the best pokemon from rocket expidetions under the sea" with a much more obvious grin the boy said, "the psuedo-legendary phione!" as he said that he pulled off the cage's cover revealing the creature in a tank with several powerful energy restrictors, the Rocket way to restrict a pokémon's mobility, all over its body.

The Rocket leader didn't seem too impressed, simply watcing him for a moment. Then her eyes moved to the restrained Phione, and she asked him simply, "I see. And what, exactly, would you plan on doing with the pokemon? I don't normally sanction the experimental use of a legendary, or psuedo-legendary, without a good reason behind it."

The project he had been working on in the high security area was a success. he opened up the door. "hmm a phione a good catch I guess anyway boss Project Thunder egg was a complete success" as Cameron said this he held up a commen pokeball " should i show tem what a real Legend looks like " as he looked at the others in the room

As the two people came in, Ash heard their conversation. Phione was a good pokémon, of course, but why would the Admin want it?In doubt, he attempted to grab the cover used in the cage withtout anyone noticing, and using it as a cloack for himself.
After taking the coat, he merged into the darkness with it.As he did that, he approached enought to hear the conversations without been seen.

Although she had her doubts about either of them really knowing what a truly powerful legendary pokemon looked like, Tara gave Cameron the slightest shake of her head. Her eyes seemed to slip in Ash's general direction, before smoothly returning to the two who currently had her attention. Then she told Cameron,
"Not just yet. We haven't the room in here for you to summon anything bigger than a normal human being. Have some patience. Perhaps you could show it to us in the arena, at some point."

"Yes Boss It will need some raising though so I will train it first " Cameron said " but when it is trained it will be very powerful . So am I need for anything else or should I go ?"

while all this was going on, stone had been writing a note silently, and had slipped out with phione unnoticed by anyone. The note explained project 30D, it is a pokéball Stone had spent hours upon hours working on, it made any pokemon in it obey only team Rocket's orders, and also caused it to gain an enormous power boost, and at the bottom of the note, because the boy had at that moment recieved confirmation that this was now working, explained that if applicable, it could also force the pokemon through a forced yet major power boosting evolution. beneath that was drawn an admin ribbon, with Stone neatly signed in the middle.
