{Continuation from Truth Behind it All}The Pokemon Mansion. A run-down mansion of the past; many Fire-type Pokemon makes their home here. There is a Lab nearby, but the members there aren't exactly the type to investigate hostile areas themselves. That is why sometimes the Rocket members hidden amongst them would request petty jobs such as this. The silence in the mansion's entrance was broken by the sound of someone stepping on a piece of thin wood and breaking it. It was a girl in a formal uniform and cap; Gen. Her violet eyes scanned the area as Pyrren, her Lampent, moved about, searching for any signs of life -or spirit- which were nearby. "In case you're wondering, She suddenly spoke. "Our job is to locate a rampaging Pokemon, or a Pokemon that doesn't belong here." As Pyrren returned to Gen, satisfied that the area was clear, she turned around to face the other member who was with her, and nodded. "Shall we start investgating?"

It had been long since Luna had visited this place. Back before it burned down, in fact. She remembered very vaguely a ball that was held. Closing her hazel eyes, the stillness of the room surrounded her. She could almost see it again, but before the memory returned they flickered open again. This wasn't a time to get lost. She pulled a lock of her almond hair behind her ear, tucking it neatly beneath the brown beret.
Quilava hopped off her shoulder, scurrying down her dress and boots to the floor. He'd never had the pleasure of seeing the place in its former glory, but that was quite alright to him. He could smell the heat and soot around, fire type Pokemon lurking deeper within. He was rather excited, as could be noted by his flames flickering in the dark.
"Well it seems Quilava is willing to light the way," Luna said, glancing only momentarily toward Gen. She wondered what Pokemon they might be after, but knew better than to ask too many questions. It was never a good idea, especially in an organization such as Team Rocket. Glancing down at her pokeballs, she had the fleeting thought of letting Deino roam with them, but shook her head. No use putting more strain on the old boards than was necessary.
"Shall we move forward then?" Luna asked, then took a few steps forward. Part of the floor collapsed beneath her, falling into what was once considered the cellar. She quickly pulled back her foot, stumbling back a couple steps to catch her balance. "This place is rather unsettling, if only for the collapsing structure," she said, then took the route around the hole which seemed at least for now to be slightly sturdier. Quilava lightly trotted along the support beams under the ex-floor, finding his way across easy with his lean and light body.

A Quilava, huh. Well, Gen reasoned to herself, Pokemons definitely had a keener sense than humans, and since this was the home of fire types...
Gen nodded slightly at Luna's question, about to follow her deeper inside; Gen was the leader, yes, but she knew when to give the leading role to others. As she was about to give out a command to Pyrren to search as well, she heard the crunching sound of wood; she turned around swiftly to the source of the noise, thinking it was a sneak attack, but instead saw the gaping hole on the floor and a stumbling rookie.
"...I'd rather avoid having the need to rescue you out of a hole," she said, following the route Luna took around the gap on the floor. "unsettling or not, be alert when you lead."
The collapsing debris made a giant echo in the basement below. Figures moved in the shadows, alarmed; it wasn't because the floor had fell down - they always do. It was because they could sense the intruders; the previous intruder a couple moons ago had left them in fear despite being in their natural environment. If more of them settled, then they would be driven out entirely.
The first ones to act were the Growlithes, who were valiant in nature; a few of them darted up the old, rusted stairs, making only the soft pat pat noise of their paws on the man-made ground.
{feel free to control the npc/wild pokemons I add in as you see fit; bring an army of Grimers if you'd like, as long as they do appear in the Mansion xp}

[You can act them out if you want, Marche, I don't mind]
Luna wanted badly to roll her eyes, but resisted he urge. "I'm always alert..." she said, eyes darting to see the shifting shadows. Something is coming... Quilava's fiery bristles blazed hot, burning brightly as he entered an aggressive stance. He jumped in front of Luna, to defend her from the oncoming Growlithe. So many Growlithe...but they aren't normally this aggressive, Luna thought, clenching her fists a bit as she took a few strides back out of the way.
"We aren't here to fight you!" she said assertively to the puppy Pokemon, knowing that even if she tried they'd likely not listen. It didn't matter, it was always worth a shot to her. Hope I don't have to bring out the others too... she thought, one hand playing at the dragon types' pokeballs.

The Growlith lowered its head, growling a little. It wasn't the most intimidating thing in the world, but there were a few of them. Their fur was glowing softly in the dark, in a small attack formation. It looked like choice words might not be the best choice.
The frontman in the pack took a few steps forward, letting out an angry bark. It was in the same vein as a 'take another step forward, and you're going to be in for a fight

[Guess Gen isn't posting this round?] Luna groaned a bit, she hated fighting innocent Pokemon needlessly. "Look, we aren't here to fight you! If anything, we're here to help you, so..GET OUT OF THE WAY!" she said, taking a strong step forward and swiping her hand out to the side to put the motion with the words. Quilava's flames burned brightly, crackling with energy. He was prepared to defend Luna on his life, baring his teeth and lowering his head at the Growlithe in a manner of 'I dare you to'.

The Growlithe continued to... well, growl. It saw that it had the numbers on its side, but the newcomer was stronger. It could probably wrap up this pretty quickly. It took a step to the side, the others following in suit. It kept its eyes locked on Quilava, eyes filled with a kinda-adorable hatred. The sort of hate that says 'When I evolve, I will find you and kill you"

Quilava kept his eyes locked on the Growlithe as he led Luna past them. His head even turned to make sure they didn't try anything as they were passing. Luna too watched carefully, though not really with fear. She was glad they didn't have to attack innocent bystanders, but she knew they were unhappy with their being there. They calmly walked down the stairs, Quilava allowing Luna to pass once they were past the Growlithe. There was still a glint in his eye, a 'Yeah, I knew it' look as he glanced back to the lead Growlithe.
Luna turned once, to look at Gen. "You coming? I'm still not exactly sure of what we're looking for down here," she said, then turned and continued down the stairs.

{Derp, Internet problems.}
Part of Gen wanted to annhiliate the pack, since she was the type who'd cut a growing menance when she can... But seeing as how Luna stepped forward and took care of everything, she decided against acting. It wasn't out of sympathy or anything, but rather saw no reason to start a battle unnecessarily. She followed the Rookie down the stairs as if ignoring her words. After a while, though, she spoke.
"Most likely an angered and frightened little Volcanora." The name brought back the past events in her mind; a report made a few months ago of a failed attempt of bringing back a rare Unova Pokemon to the HQ. The Pokemon had escaped and was loose in Kanto. The case was closed as there was no way to find the Pokemon, but Gen had recently caught a whiff of information about the strange behaviour of the fire Pokemons in this mansion from the Rockets stationed in the Cinnabar Labs. She hadn't told anyone, for there was no solid proof; and that was why she was here.
"Pyrren, light the way," She commanded to her ghost who was making all sorts of awed face at the Quilava ever since the encounter with the Growlithe pack. He looked once at Gen, then moved forward to illuminate in front of Luna; the basement was starting to get a little dark, even with streams of light filtering from the decomposing walls.

Quilava stayed close to Luna, in case something should happen he wanted to be close to help her. Volcarona? Luna thought to herself, That's an awfully rare and powerful Pokemon...What would it be doing here? she wondered. She had heard of Volcarona before. Some people even considered it to be somewhat of a legend in itself. A large fire moth that evolves from Larvesta at an extremely high level. The only Pokemon she knew of that evolved higher would be her Deino, not fully evolving for another 5 levels after a Larvesta would.
Luna continued forward through the dark and empty halls, the smell of decomposing wood and soot around her. Quilava kept the immediate area around her lit rather well as Pyrren kept the area ahead lit. Quilava seemed rather fond of the ghost lamp, but Quilava was rather friendly to most in reality. "So...I suppose it'd be pretty hard to miss if we happened to see it then..." Luna said, rather flatly.

{I'm... I'm out of ideas. Um... Idek, Larvesta swarm? ...wait, can Volcarona even breed? Surprise us, Marche, Blue?}
It was bluntly obvious to Gen that Luna was wondering just how a rare Pokemon like that was in this danky place... but she really didn't feel the need to explain; perhaps if the Rookie dares to ask...
But in any case, apart from the growlithe packs, nothing blocked their way as they searched; either all the other Pokemons were cowering in the shadows, or they've already perished. Come to think of it, what would a lone Volcarona do during its time here in a foreign region? Sure, it went and dominated this mansion... but there were more than enough timeframe for anything to have happened.
"...Maybe it's not here anymore," Gen muttered after a while. It could be possible that the Volcarona has left this island the way it came, whatever method that was. This mission didn't really have any basis other than the concerned Rocket researcher in the first place...
"Let's go after searching a little bit more; I'd rather not spend my time digging rubble any longer." she ordered Luna in a roundabout way as she rubbed her temples with her fingers. This was turning out to be another dead end.

[indeed Volcarona can breed. I have 5 Larvesta and a Volcarona on my black version from breeding. Haha, Larvesta came to lay its eggs, that'd be great XD]
Luna turned to Gen when she heard her mutter something. "Huh? Oh, right," she said, nodding at the rubble comment. Quilava hopped around a bit, the air seeming stagnant and uneasy. All was still, which only put him on edge. It was simply too still. "What's wrong, Quilava? Do you smell something?" Luna asked, noticing the peculiar strides he was taking. It was very odd behavior.
"So...what exactly would a Pokemon like Volcarona be doing here anyway? Isn't it a native to Unova?" Luna asks, trying to make it seem a little less still in the place, her foot stirring some old broken marble on the floor, which sent it clicking across the ground.

There's was a scuttereing in the distance; something was moving in the darkness before them. It actually sounded like someone stepping in a big pile of jelly, making a sickening squish before a light hum. Another silence began to lul it, bring a false sense of security before the rumored Volcarona entered the frey! Oh the terror of a level 60 Pokemon at this location-...
Wait... something wasn't right. Though it certainly looked and smelled like a Volcarona, there was something mighty peculular about this one. For starters, it was only level 30. And secondly, it had little black dots for eyes.

Gen's violet eyes locked onto Luna's at the question she dared to ask. Her eyes lost the menacing aura after a while, going back to looking around.
"Some dumb members tried to bring it to the HQ some few months ago, but it escaped." She answered bluntly. She was going to comment about how stupid they were, but something stopped her.
"There it is," Gen called out as she spotted the Volcarona. Pyrren, however, gave an odd reaction; he scratched his head, then gave a weird look to the Volcarona. Not that Gen cared for it much.
"Pyrren, let's start off with Shadow Tagging that Pokemon," she called out, to which the Lampent oveyed. His shadow seemed to stretch and approach the Volcarona(?), effectively binding the shadow. Now it won't be able to escape.
{...is that a Ditto I spy? XDDDDDDDD}

(Derp, sorry. We're getting close to exam week and I've been kinda out of it)
The Volcarona fluttered for a moment, shadows connecting. Unable to escape, it began to loom in closer to Pyrren, fluttering its wings before letting out a belch of purple slime. The TOXIC material made an arch towards the Pokemon, resulting in terrible poison if the attack landed
