(somewhat continues from here.) After giving Claudia ample time to settle in, she summoned her to the entrance of the labs once again. However, this time she was different. She had changed her outfit and appearance. Her new outfit consisted of similar pieces as beforehand; it still had the gray-black jacket that became almost like a cloak, but it had been altered. There were red markings all along the seams of the cloak, and a small red R within a circle on each of her shoulders, as well as a larger R on the lower portions of each side of her cloak. On her wrists, neck, and bottom portion of the cloak pieces were red patches of a slightly ruffled material. There were now red pendants holding in place the split in the cloak, which was further up than it had been, revealing more of her flat belly. Her ribs were covered in what appeared to be fishnets, stopping a little above her belly. She had a red belt holding on her black pants, which were the same color as her jacket/cloak combination. The finishing touches were her boots, which were a darker shade of gray than her cloak. They had heels, but also a rubber sole that gave off a hint of elegant toughness. There were also three light grey straps visible on the top of her boots. (I made a rough sketch of it, will be refining it later on.)

Claudia arrived with a golden colored Espeon following her, and he was adorned in blue rings, two on his tail, one as a necklace, and a final one on his right front paw like a bracelet. Claudia's outfit was also different, but only in coloration. It looked as though she had made a Rocket uniform for herself that was cut just the same as her other outfit. Her hair had a red streak today, along with her bracelet glowing red where it had previously been green.
"Hullo," she murmured sleepily, rubbing an eye with a fist, her Espeon yawning widely then grooming his left front paw in a catlike manner. "Wha's goin' on?" Claudia yawned, clearly not fully awake. "This is my Espeon, Lush. Hey, Lush, go show Tara how a cat should be." Claudia said, starting to wake up.
Lush trotted over to Tara, purring gently, and flopped onto his back, demanding a belly rub. Claudia chuckled softly, smiling at the little Espeon. "Who's a good kitty?" she asked, and Lush started purring even louder.

Tara was quiet, staring at the Espseon for a long moment before turning away, motioning towards a laboratory door that was kept locked behind numerous security measures.
"Congratulations on your promotion. I like what you've done to your outfit. However, there is something I would like to show you in my personal laboratory. You might find it quite... interesting." she said, beginning to undo the security measures she had placed on the door. Three sets of security codes, two card keys, and a fingerprint scanner, and the door was open. She stepped back, motioning for Claudia to enter the lab. However, almost as soon as the door was open, a low growling could be heard coming from within.

Lush mewled, disappointed, until Claudia pet his tummy, to which he responded by gently battering her hand with his hind paws, claws in of course.
Claudia wasn't really focusing on Lush though, and was slightly disturbed by the low growl, it was vibrating through her core. "What is that?" she asked, and Lush, sensing her unease, pressed himself against her leg. "That sound... what IS it?" Claudia asked, nervous.

"An experiment of mine. I created a pokemon more powerful than any other, but there is one drawback: it is completely out of control. I've been able to contain it, so far, but my attempts to train it to be controlled have so far been complete failures." she explained, entering the lab room. The growls increased into snarls, but she seemed undaunted by its hostility.
The lights came on in the room, turned on by motion-sensors, and revealing the contained experiment. It was inside of a machine, which seemed to be creating some sort of an electric containment field. If it attempted to reach out and break through the glass, the electricity would force it back in quite a painful manner. The pokemon had learned this quite thoroughly, as it was making sure to stay just on the edge of the field, glaring with an intense hatred at the one who had imprisoned it. It was a Haxorus, slightly larger than normal, and of a completely different color. It was black, but had numerous red markings all over it, and quite different than its shiny form.
"It is first I have ever managed to create. It's a Shadow Pokemon, and I am very pleased with its destructive powers. Once I can manage to turn its anger into something more.. constructive, Team Rocket will be back in business."

(I'm gonna reference XD and I consider the player character to be female, no guy wears that kind of outfit.)
"Shadow Pokemon...." Claudia muttered, thinking hard. "You mean like the mayhem in the Orre region a few years back? Where that Lugia dropped a ship in the desert and all that, until that girl with the red hair and her Eevee stopped Cipher? You found the lost technology? You've artificially shut this Pokemon's heart?! Whoa." Claudia said, in a voice filled with awe and fear.

Tara nodded, having read her history on Team Snagem and everything else that had happened revolving Shadow Pokemon. She moved up to the control console of the containment unit, smiling softly at her creation.
"Yes, we have that very same machine, which I made some modifications to. This Haxorus is the living proof. He is also the one who destroyed that very same machine, which means that I will have to rebuild it. For now, I'm concentrating my efforts on the Haxorus itself, to see if I can properly tame him."

"Um, how the heck are you gonna tame THAT?! You gonna use Pokemon to brainwash him? You gonna put a shock collar on him like they do with Growlithe and Poochyena who bark too much? Master Ball? Um... How intelligent is he?" Claudia peppered the air with questions once again. She glanced at the enraged dragon Pokemon.
"Also, um, why did you test it on such an immense and powerful Pokemon to begin with? Wouldn't it have been better to test it on, I dunno, a Wurmple or Spearow or Pikachu?"

Tara gave a small shrug, watching the Haxorus as it responded to their presence. She had so far made more progress with him than she had told Claudia, but it wasn't enough. She could contain it within the chamber, and within their newly-developed shadow balls, but it wouldn't obey her commands.
"I'll try anything and everything to bend it to my will. He is very intelligent, but when he gets too excited or too furious.. he loses all control and becomes a raging beast. Not that I don't mind it, but it also means that he refuses to obey my commands. I may have to invest in some kind of collar for him, since he seems to respond well to pain. As for my reasons for choosing him over a weaker pokemon.. there are two. For one, I enjoy the challenge of breaking his will, and if I can break him, it means that any pokemon that I turn into Shadow Pokemon can be broken and used for our goals. My other reason.. I planned to keep him for myself, so I'm tackling two birds with one stone."

"So he listens sometimes then goes nuts? Or he barely listens and when he loses it you have no control over him whatsoever? How do you plan to control him? Through fear or companionship? Wait, that's stupid. It wouldn't be a Shadow Pokemon if it liked its trainer, so fear. How are you going to make an immense beast fear you? That thing is huge!" Claudia exclaimed, now hugging Lush in the way a small child might hug a Teddy-Teddiursa, clearly unnerved by the monstrous dragon. Lush on the other hand was squirming due to a lack of sufficient oxygen caused by being hugged tight.

"Barely listens, and then loses it at the drop of a hat. I'm hoping that I can change that. With a shock collar, he should, hopefully, be able to be snapped out of his rages fairly easily. The only problem is controlling him and forcing him to listen to my commands. I'll probably have to battle him to win his respect. Which means bringing out all six of my pokemon and absolutely pounding at him until he finally understands that I will not take no for an answer." she said, a cruel smile lingering over her lips. It was the first full smile that Claudia had seen thus far, and it meant that she was looking forward to breaking the will of her test subject.

Claudia was greatly unnerved by Tara's wicked grin, but she was able to regain her composure and put Lush down (much to the suffocating Espeon's relief) and say, "Well how can I help you tame this beast? If it involves using my Pokemon as bait I'm not gonna do that." Lush nods in agreement after he finishes catching his breath, although Claudia doesn't seem to notice she nearly asphyxiated the poor feline.

Tara glanced towards Claudia, before pausing to consider. She really had nothing for Claudia to do, or anything that she could do. After a few moments, she said,
"For now, I think you should stay on the sidelines. This could be a good learning experience for you, after all." she said with a smile, turning back to the Haxorus. She opened up the containment machine, but only long enough for her to return the pokemon to its ball. Then she turned around once more, smirking softly.
"Shall we head to the Arena? You can spectate, of course."

(Shameless Sci-Fi reference time!)
"Um, we have an arena? This building is so... Tardis." Claudia said, and Lush nodded wisely, his breathing finally back to normal. "Oh, uh, return, Lush." Claudia said, returning him to his Poke Ball, which had a sticker on it that looked like the sun.

"Yes, we have a Battle Arena. It has a place for spectators to watch while out of range of the combatant's attacks, almost like a balcony sort of deal. Come, I'll show you." she said, waving her on as she began to head towards the arena. (Continued here.)
