An exasperated noise escaped the lips of the female detective as she shifted from one foot to the other. The woman, one Mari Malinconico, currently stood within the Lost and Found room of the Police Headquarters. It wasn't often that she visited the headquarters, to be honest. Maybe if she had some Rocket scum to bring in, or was called in to perform an interrogation or receive a mission, but other than that... her presence was abnormal. Of course, considering her current location, the reason for her visit was obvious.
"It has to be here somewhere," the female whined, continuing to look through the scattered items. Pausing, she picked up a green scarf her fingers came across. "This is nice..." she murmured. It was cold outside too, now that winter had finally rooted itself in. However, she then shook her head and replaced the item. "No. This isn't mine. Besides, I'm looking for my wallet." She spoke out loud to herself, as though it would help her get her priorities together. It didn't seem to work though, as she began rooting through the spread of lost items with a newfound curiosity.
Her wallet had her ID in it. Surely someone would return it to her if they found it, right? It had her picture and her number. Besides, she'd lost it in a police station. What sort of terrible officer wouldn't return someone's lost wallet? It wasn't as though there was anything of value inside it anyway.
Besides, how could someone lose such a nice-looking coat?
