Moria leaned, slightly slouched, against the doorframe, looking up into the the gloomy stairwell, sighing softly. A soft click sounded near her boots. She looked down, seeing her mottled purple Nidoran laying against the cool floor, scratching at a piece of stone that someone had trod in, it's nail clicking the stone this way and that. She sighed again "At least you're having a good time Nidoran" watching it's eyes focused intently on the pebble. She looked up again, stifling a yawn. Guard duty was so boring. No one had been through the gate for hours, and ever since the change of leadership, no one had been finding their new hideouts. At least that kid with the Pikachu had been a bit of excitement when he came through the other week, but thanks to the better organization nowadays, even that had been put down quickly. She yawned again, hoping someone might come through soon and put her on a more exciting duty. Even routine survellience was better than staring at an empty stairwell all day and willing it to sprout a cluster of enemies.

There was the soft sound of paws on a cold stone floor, followed by footsteps. A Persian padded its way down the stairs, followed closely by Tara. They had just returned from a walk outside of the base; the Rocket leader liked to stay active when things in the base moved slowly. They'd been having a slow week, and she had a plan to fix that, using the walk as a method of brainstorming.
Moving off of the stairs and into the chamber, she glanced at Moria, the guard on duty. Tara had been careful to slip out unnoticed, through a secret passageway. She didn't like to announce that she was leaving the base, considering her suspicions that some of the new recruits may be spies for the Police. She liked to return through the front door, though, just to make sure that the guards were doing their job, and not asleep or otherwise slacking off.
She paused, noticing that Lucius had stopped. The Persian was cleaning its paws of the dirt from their walk, and she stopped to let it. Such a dainty creature... no wonder she never used it in battle. It would probably complain if it broke a nail.

Moria snapped alert suddenly, noticing the shadowy figures slowly descending the stairs, standing at rigid attention, recognizing the siloutte of Lucius, the boss's Persian, and knowing that the figure beside could only be the Boss.
As they stepped out into the light, her suspicions were proved correct, and she snapped a hasty salute, staring forward. Even Nidoran left off it's recreation and sat straighter, positioned by her boot, although it's eyes carefully followed the large cat.
As the Boss walked by, Moria pondered her entrance, knowing full well that the Boss had been around the base conducting buisness at some point during the past several hours that Moria had been on guard duty, and that she had never left through the front entrance. The Boss seemed to do this quite frequently in fact. She wondered if there was a reason for it.
The Persian was cleaning it's large padded feet, and the Boss had stopped just beyond Moria as it did so. Sweat beaded her neck. The Boss made her nervous. It may have had something to do with the way her sharp eyes seemed to pierce straight through you. Or perhaps she was simply unsettling because authority figures in general made her nervous. Either way, she hoped that the pair would move on soon, before the Boss had any reason to direct her attention at the female grunt.

Just then Manatee Express was walking away from the the living quarters to go get some fresh air. he saw the two figures and was about to say hello with a freindly wave, but he saw that Tara was there and he tried to straighten up and salute but insted ended up tripping over his cape and smashing to the ground, breaking the tense silence.
"Ow ow ow...", Manatee Express's trusty Croconaw Del came out of his pokeball to help the bruised grunt to his feet.
"Heh... Oops!" Said the scared grunt nervously.

(Sorry I haven't replied. I had been a little bit busy with my college homework. ._.; Anyhow, here I am~.)
Tara glanced at the two of them, noting Moria's nervousness at her presence, and Manatee's haste to salute causing him to trip. It was good to see they were nervous around her; it meant they had a healthy respect for her authority and power. She laughed softly, smiling, which was surprising. It was a startled, amused laugh, which were rare when coming from her.
Lucius paused in his grooming, glancing up at her in surprise. "Murr?" he burbled, and his owner rested her hand on his head. Tara looked down to her "pet," and spoke as if she were talking to him alone.
"Yes, it is quite amusing, isn't it? I find it good to see that there is still some healthy respect for the power of Team Rocket. Lately, I've only been seeing incompetent fools. Perhaps they would be good enough for the tournament I have planned?" she said amusedly, as the Persian rubbed its head against her hand in response.

"Really a tournament!?" Said Manatee Express with his mood suddenly changing. He suddenly took out his three pokemon. "Hey guys guess what, theres a tournament soon!!"
His duskull seemed a little bored and tired, as it was taking a small nap before being awakend, all though his croconaw and seviper were ecstatic.
"Wooh Hoo! I won't let ya down boss!" Cheered Manatee Express as he put his fist in the air with his pokemon following with a similar motion

(Does it matter to post in two threads at once and just assume that one or the other happens later? I'm new to using an entire forum as an RP area @_@)
Moria had been unable to hear the bosses murmer to the lithe feline, but there was no way to miss the stranger's ecstatic yell. She glanced over, slightly annoyed by his loudness. She sighed "Well, I guess this IS excitement" she murmered, glaning down at her Nido, who was quaking with the attempt to remain sitting straight.
Still, a tournament sounded somewhat exciting. She wondered if doing well might land her a more favorable position amoung the recruits. She was confident in her team's prowess, but hoped it wouldn't come down to a battle against a stronger member, like an elite.
She turned her head slightly, her eye taking in the figures of the Boss and the other, her sharp crimson eye peering out from under the cap at them curiously, hoping to learn more.

(You can post in more than one thread at one time, but just make sure that you keep in mind current events/when they happen/don't forget about them like I sometimes do. They have to happen at different times, obviously, but it's up to you/the thread's creator when those times are.)
Tara chuckled softly at Manatee's outburst, arching an eyebrow. "We'll see how you do. It should be interesting to watch." she commented, before glancing at Moria and her Nidoran. It was entertaining to see the small pokemon's attempt to continue to sit straight.
"I have no set date for the tournament, as of yet, but it will be soon. I still have to hammer out the details, but it will be more than worth it. The winners will receive quite the prize." she stated with a dark grin, her ideas flashing through her mind for a moment. Then she turned away from them, snapping a finger at Lucius as she began to walk past them, into the dark tunnels of the Rocket base. The Persian scrambled after her hastily, unwilling to be left behind without his mistress.

The silence extended for a moment. The first of the pair to move was Nidoran, slumping down with the equivalent of a sigh, streching out on it's stomach. Moria turned back to watch her post, considering the information about the tournament, slowly relaxing with the Boss gone, but keeping wary of the other member behind her, who had yet to leave.
She giggled slightly and grinned widely, staring back at the stairs. It would certainly be fun to demonstrate the vile damage her poison could inflict upon others in front of the entire assembled Team Rocket. She would have to listen out for this tournament.
She grinned wider still "And that prize certainly sounds worth having" she murmered aloud. If Moria had a weakness, it certainly was treasure. She was quite the able pickpocket, although she never stole from other members, for fear of the consequences.

"Well... I guess I'll go to the casino for a bit." said Manatee Express walking up the stairs.
Then his croconaw slighty tugged at his pants.
"Oh right, I'am still in my outfit!" Thought Manatee Express aloud
So Manatee Express slowly walked away from the entrance area to go and change into his "street clothes" as it would be just plain strange to see a team rocket member playing the slots. (Espcially one with a cape and shoulder pads...)

Moria rolled her eyes, glancing at the man as he turned back away from the stairs. "It's a uniform.." she mumbled, resuming her usual stance.

Chaos was walking to the entrance chamber after being bored all day and had nothing better to do than just sitting around. But when he noticed the boss with her Persian and another Rocket member walking in the opposite direction he was coming from. And didn't pay any mind to them and continued to walk on. Sure, he didn't show any respect to the boss like any other member may have done and that may land him in hot water, but he didn't care at all.
He quickly arrived into the room and saw yet another member and her Nidoran just standing there. Chaos just walked to the other side of the other Rocket and leaned on the wall and closed his eyes and began thinking to himself quietly without saying anything at all to the Rocket member.

Moria noticed the new arrival, sighing inwardly. Four hours of guard duty could pass without so much as a whisper, and then suddenly five minutes included the Boss, her pet, and every other grunt under the sun, or in this case, she supposed, ground.
She glanced over. The man was leaning against the wall, seemingly deep in thought. "Posing again" she thought irritably. It was the rare grunt who didn't think that joining Team Rocket made them a shadowy figure of the night, so almost every one tended to pose and show off, trying to appear arrogant or mysterious. Moria despised it. That's why she grinned and played around most of the time, acting foolish and simple. It threw off most members, made them wary, not realizing the cunning intelligence working away constantly behind the grinning exterior.

Chaos opened his eyes every once and a while to stare at the rookie's actions that was distracting him from his thoughts and after four hours past, Chaos finally spoke up. "I don't care what your thinking or what your trying to do, but its not going to work on me, so you might want to give up before you anger me with your actions".
Just then, Chaos'Sableye came out of his poke ball and began talking like as if he was agreeing what Chaos said. Surprised by Sableye's sudden appearance and support for his master, Chaos smiled. "Sableye... you almost remind me of..." Chaos quickly stops himself from going any further. No! I can't! I must forget the past. Even her...
Confused by Chaos sudden stop, Sableye looks up to Chaos in fear that he might have angered him. Chaos, seeing his Sableye in fear, Chaos snaps back to reality. "Never mind. Sableye, I thank you for supporting me, but I can handle it. Now then...". Chaos turns away from the Sableyes gaze and went back to thinking to himself.
Relived that Chaos didn't get angry, Sableye sighs and decides to walk around the room and trys to avoid the other person and her pokemon just to be safe.

She glanced at him irritably "It's called standing. It's what happens when you're on guard duty. You stand." She turned back to her post, more annoyed than before. It's not like the Grunt had to stand there. SHE on the otherhand, had no choice.

Chaos sighs at the rookies response. "You know what just forget it. I was thinking that there should be another guard just in case if a random kid was to walk in here and might defeat whoever was standing guard up here. But I can just tell that you probably hate me now".
Chaos then turns to the rookie and grins. "Too bad your not a grunt like me and we could have a battle to settle things, but I think you wouldn't even stand a chance against me and my pokemon". Chaos' sableye comes over to Chaos' side and shows off his claws at the Nidoran in a threating manner.

"Squeak Squeak Squeak" Manatee Express's "Street Shoes" made an irritating squeak whenever he took a step in them
"Gah I need to get these things fixed" said Manatee Express under his breath. "Oh hey, you were here when the boss was talking about that tournament, right?" He said while shifting his head towards Moria.
"Allright, to the casino!" Said Manatee Express as if he was giving out an order to himself.

Moria grinned and snickered "Settle what things? You're creating an issue that only you can see. Regulations dictate one guard on duty in the entrance area. If you aren't assigned here, or the rules aren't changed, then you aren't supposed to be..'helping'. If you think there should be another guard, perhaps you should suggest it to the Administrators or an Executive."
She leaned against the wall "..furthermore, this isn't like the old days with a poster over a hole in the wall in a Casino. We've got loads of security on the top entrance too, and finally, your Pokemon aren't much more powerful than mine, and I doubt I wouldn't..as you said..'stand a chance'."
Nidoran was shaking slightly as Sableye intimidated it. Moria glanced at the jewel-encrusted Pokemon and snapped her fingers casually. A pair of slanted glowing eyes materialized in her shadow against the wall, inches from the small ghost, filled with burning white ethreal flames. "Also, please recall your pokemon, my Nidoran gets nervous easily, and your Sableye is being a nuisance."
She glanced at the other as he entered, looking away from the Pokemon and it's master, still slightly irritated. "Yeah, that's right" she said to the man.

"Hey hey fellas! No need to fight!" said Manatee Express in a strangley soothing voice. "We need to save that rage and anger for the enemy not each other!" As he turned around another "Squeak" came from his old shoe. "Now really why do you need to measure your pokemon's strength, we all know that they are all usefull!" said Manatee Express sounding like a psychiatrist. "Well then, I'll be heading up for reals now, and I hope you will stop this pointlessness" said Manatee Express putting his hand on Moria's Shoulder, seconds later realising that was a bad idea.

She glanced at him, shrugging the hand off wordlessly. "No reason to test strength, I have confidence in my team. But this grunt seems to be looking for a fight today" She sighed, hoping her replacement for duty would show up soon, they were overdue already, and she wanted to get away from these two.
