Virance entered the Arena, awaiting those who would answer his notice...

Moria slipped in unnoticed, seating herself against the far wall of the large room, against the shadowed corner, propping her feet on the chair in front of her casually, having just got off guard duty and noticed the message on the board. Nidoran curled in her arms and dozed off gently.
She wasn't a fool. Every Rocket Member had their pokemon team written out and submitted for approval, and Moria had taken to skimming through the files when a few of the researchers who posessed such files could be distracted by a soft look and a curve of the leg. Virance's file she'd barely looked at, but she remembered enough to know that his team consisted of at least two Psychic-type pokemon. It wouldn't do for a poison-type expert to accept his challenge.
She glanced at the figure standing impatiently in the middle of the room. Nevertheless, it was a slow day, and she was curious whether anyone would answer the challenge, and for what reason Virance wanted to pick a fight in anycase.

Virance watched Moria carefully, wondering what she was doing there. He sent his Espeon out and let it get some exercise. It appeared that no rookie was up for the challenge.
Espeon=39/39

"Nya NYA!" Protests came from the little creature from down the hall. "Stop complaining Loki, we've gotta train somehow". As the two came into view, the Meowth's trainer looked as depressed as he did. Minagi felt weak, and she was determined to work harder. Searching all day for somewhere in this damn place to train however, had dampened her spirits. She hadn't bothered to look at the notice on the board, but the sight of the eager trainer made her want to hide. She let out a Ninetales and an Ivysaur, hoping that the trainer would stay on THAT side of the arena and let her train in peace. Unfortunately for her, that wasn't going to happen.
(fair warning this is my 1st time attempting the battle system, lemme know if im not doing something right)

Virance shouted, "Esp, maneuver 2!" The Espeon dug quickly into the ground, ready to defeat its new opponent.
(My first battle, too.)

"Hmmm" she murmered, stroking the Nido's ears with the tip of a gloved hand, seeing Minagi enter. Virance appeared to be eyeing her carefully as she walked to the other side of the arena, letting out her team of Pokemon, looking nervous. Moria sized her group up. Ninetales was an exquisite pokemon, and equal match for most anything, although she wondered whether it's evolution occuring at such and early stage had dampened it's powers. Ivysaur was another useful pokemon, one of the starters given out by the pokemon Professor of Kanto often. A notable champion had chosen it some years ago.
Moria's mind flashed back briefly to that day as a child, walking up the sheer stairs and in past the technicians in lab coats, machinery buzzing all around, seeing the professer smiling kindly, but seemingly sympathetically, as her hand closed around the shiny sphere left all alone on the table, her hand reflected on it as she grasped it firmly, obtaining her first partner..
She turned her attention back, shaking her head. Still, a combination grass/poison Pokemon was sure to have trouble against Virance's team if it came to it. Finally, her Meowth, a fairly decent all-around creature, although favored by the greedy or extravagant sometimes.
Moria shifted her position, smiling, waiting to see the challenger's reaction to this arrival.

Minagi flinched as she heard the other trainer call to his pokemon. She really wasn't ready for this, and judging by her pokemon's reactions they weren't either. Meowth had taken to hiding behind his trainer, Ivysaur seemed to be eyeing the Espeon carefully, and Ninetails didn't seem to care either way. While Ivysaur seemed to be the only one really interested, Minagi decided against using him. She knew the meowth had the same attitude towards this as she did, and she wasn't going to let him get out of it.
"Vivi, Devlin return!" she called, having the other 2 return to the pokeballs in her hands. She stepped to the side, putting the little furball into plain view. He glared at her, knowing fully well what she planned on doing. She ignored this, however, as she called out to the other trainer: "I suppose you think I'm here to battle? I guess it won't be a problem, I came here to train anyways." She sneered confidently, hoping the other trainer didn't see her obvious lack of interest in the challenge.
It was then that she noticed the other trainer in the arena, and she couldn't help but wonder why that person wasn't challenged. She assumed they were friends, and was hoping this didn't turn out to be a tag team battle.

The Espeon shot out of the ground and barreled into the Meowth. Virance laughed as the Espeon leaped back to its trainer.

(Just letting you two know, you need to put in the "hp bars" of the pokemon in your posts. Preferably at the top or bottom of the post.)

(That's a good tip)
Moria frowned as the Espeon leap from the ground, attacking the Meowth. Challenge or not, it was simply unfair to attack an unprepaired opponent for a sparring match. Her hand twitched over a Pokeball, watching things unfolding, half-inclined to give a little assistance if Virance continued to fight dirty.

Virance awaited a move from his opponent. Sure he fought dirty, but he was on Team Rocket, after all. He had plans, but first he had to train up and become tougher. His Espeon wandered around a little, waiting a new order.

(I think you're Espeon's hp is 65, since that's its base health stat...also misread post, editing here) Loki: 0/40
"HEY THAT WAS CHEAP!!" Minagi called out as she watched her little furball get knocked off his feet. She immediately regretted her statement however, as she realized 'This is Team Rocket'. Taking out a rarely used pokeball, she called Loki back. 'Just great, now what...' She thought. Devlin was no good in this fight, so it looked like she was forced to go with Vivi.
Vivi: 73/73 "Alright, lets show him what we've got!! Don't let this little cheat get away, use Fire Blast!!" The irritable pokemon looked at Minagi like she was crazy, which was reasonable considering the fiery temper her trainer rarely showed. The fox-like pokemon, unused to attacking right away, awkwardly jumped into the air and opened her mouth to release a 5-pronged blast at her foe.

As Cameron walks past the battle area he hears shouting and decides to watch what's going on as he sees the battle unfold he thinks to himself " hm I wonder these people could be just what I need ". slowly Cameron stood up and shouted to the trainers " this battle is no longer just a practice battle and the winner will receive a very special reward so give it all you've got ".Cameron smiled to himself

A new figure entered the room as the match began to escalate, shouting his proposal. Moria frowned from her dark corner. That was Cameron, a high-level Rocket, and he seemed to be meddling with the match for some reason. She had heard his proposal, but wondered whether either of the other trainers had heard him over the jangle of coins and shouted commands, both intent on the match.
She sighed, leaning back "These Executives, who do they think they are? They don't seem to have a single thing better to do than mess with their subordinates all day, offering rewards and punishments, and creeping out of shadows. Shouldn't they have some sort of work to do..?

Cameron felt insulted " executive!!! im an admin and also im the youngest admin ever chose your words more carefully and this reward could send you shooting through the ranks of team rocket so be careful" Cameron was smiling evilly

Moria looked at the Admin, realizing her mistakes with rank, but still wondering how on earth he had heard her from across the room, especially considering that she had barely breathed the words aloud.
Nevertheless, Moria didn't have much respect for most of the higher ranked members, save the Boss, whom she both respected and, to a point, feared. She gave the man a bored glance, returning attention to the raging battle. Moria didn't spare patience for the grandstanding most members, grunts and higher-ups alike, used to make themselves seem imposing or mysterious. The Boss was different in the regard that she never seemed to playact.

(modified earlier post because i misread the attack he used.) Minagi's face drained of color, and she looked mortified at the conversation the other 2 were having. She didn't know why the Admin decided to butt in, but she REALLY didn't like the thought of punishment for losing a battle she wasn't ready for. She kept her eyes on the battle though, and hoped her Vivi would suffice.

Virance looked at the admin. At last, a chance to prove himself. He walked over to his injured Espeon and Returned it to its ball. He pulled out another one, sending out his Ralts. It was excited. It really wanted to battle.
Espeon: 0/65
