I have a few things to say. Warning, wall of text this way cometh.
First up, I would like to apologize for not being on very often recently. I've been insanely busy irl, and haven't had much time to do much more than pop in and refresh a page, before getting dragged off to go do homework or go to a college class.
Second, I know there has been a recent bout of skin editing, because the Admins never knew until recently that they had the power to edit the forum's skins. However, I have noticed that a few of you have taken it a little bit too far. Thanks to Genepe, though, it was fixed rather quickly and easily. And, with thanks to Aerliyana, I know who you people are. /creepy stare.
No, I'm not going to revoke anyone's powers, or throw your names out there to humiliate you. I understand that some of you don't know the courtesies to skin editing, so I will tell you guys how it be. /shot for poor grammar.
-DON'T change the default skin. Ever.
-DON'T mess with someone else's skin. If you didn't make it, then make your own and modify it however you'd like. (If you didn't see my rant, please do note that I'm very touchy about people messing with the original Rocket skin that I'd made. Please, if you want a Rocket skin, but to make it look different, make your own version of it. I have no problems with that.)
-DO make recommendations to others about skins, if you don't know how to make them properly, or ask others to make you a skin the way you'd like to have it be.
And finally, about the Tournament. Yes, it will be happening. I very nearly had it typed up and submitted, but my Internet Explorer had a derp and shut down, so it was lost forever. So now, I've asked Marche to type it up for me since I'm all depressed about having to type it up all over again. There will be a certain method to running it, and I'm open to suggestions for changes to it.
So far, this is how it's going to happen:
-Divided up by ranks, so that we won't have Grunts fighting Executives, just Grunts fighting Grunts, Executives fighting Executives, etc.
-Three pokemon per player(only one legendary per Executive/Admin), to make things run a little bit more smoothly and quickly.
-Of course, no items.
-Need to submit an application in order to be able to enter. Applications are a one-time deal, so once you submit it, that's it. No edits, no modifications to rank, no pokemon modifications, nothing. To keep last-minute confusion down to a minimum.
-Separate threads for each rank's tournament. I'll be watching each and every one of them like a hawk, so no powerplaying or rule-breaking. The purpose of the tournament is to have fun, as well as to let everyone get a chance to get adjusted to the new battle systems/the roleplaying style.
-Prizes for the top winners in each of the ranks. The one who comes out on top per each rank will be allowed to battle Tara in a three-on-three battle, and will receive an even better prize if they do well in the battle.
-Tournament order is random. I'll put up a diagram of who's fighting who once we get all of the entries in and the tournament is about to get underway.
I would appreciate any feedback on the tournament's basic structure so far, as it is currently under construction, and needs a bit more work.
