So, I know that the battle system has been changing a lot, and people are still trying to get used to it. My suggestion has to do with our Pokemon's stats. So far, we've been using the generalized base stats from bulbapedia, but I noticed when looking at my Pokemon's page that we can see our Pokemon's individual stats. When putting your mouse over the bar, it gives the # of the stat. (no I don't have Z as a partner) I was wondering if we'd be able to incorporate this somehow into our battle system, instead of every pokemon being generalized. I understand that the level has an affect on the stats. There is a calculator here that can give you the stats for certain levels when plugging in the Pokemon's stats. It would easily help scale the Pokemon's stats to the level claimed due to rank. I understand that it'd take some time to get used to, and that the idea will probably be turned down. I'm just bringing it up because it seems a lot better than every Pikachu's base speed being 90, or every Espeon's base defense being 60. With the concept of attack vs. defense being implemented into the battle system, I think it'd be better for the pokemon to have individual stats rather than generalized. Since everyone is supposed to link their Pokemon's page, there really isn't any way to cheat since everyone has access to the stat page.

Actually, that is a very good idea. If anyone else is in favor of this, we can add this in to the battle system. :3

if this does go through, are we going to use the pokemon's Natures as well?

I was under the assumption that the pokemon's nature was already calculated into the stats on vdex, since they do have IV's and such. I can only imagine that in the case of sprite switching, it would be the same concept as switching out the team all together.

oh, well, er, the stat calculator thing asked for a nature, so I kinda asked XD so we don't place the natures in the stat calc since it's already tallied?
ETA: I support to this as well, btw

I'm for this idea. I think it would be fun, without making it difficult to look up for battles since they've already got the links. and the training might be useful for more than making them level faster

Oh for the stat calc you do. The calc is meant to tell you your pokemon's IV, but after u calculate it, there's a spot that allows you to see its norm stats at certain lvls. Like so: soo~ you fill out the chart as so~ and after you hit the "calculate IV's button on the bottom right of the chart, there will be a little section that looks like this insert the lvl you want into the little box, and hit enter to find the stats.

Oks, ty; I think if we do implement this for the battles, it would be best to make a thread in the guide forum or something.
Also, I got an error saying that my shedinja's speed isn't possible, can you help? here is the said shedinja.

GenepeOrgel if you did any training in things like work out, study, obstacle training, etc etc...those would be EV's...and would have to be put in the 2nd row of in the stat section. I'm also unable to see your shedinja's HP stat, so I can't tell if its 0 or not.

But the second row of stats only goes up to 255 when the attack stat of the dinja is like 286... and Shedinja's HP is fixed on 1.
Would you be able to tell me how you'd calculate the said dinja's stats then? @~@

a Pokemon is allowed a max of 510 EV's for the bottom line, but only 255 per stat. If you put 190 for attack EV's, and 135 in the Speed EV's it evens out...tho I'm not sure if those are actually what it's been trained in.

I've trained the ATK 'til max then SPD to max, so I presume it'd be something like 255 atk / spd since that's the max one can have.
That said, I tried this and it didnt give me an error this time, though I seriously doubt that's the right way to do it... is it?
[make sure you press Load once the stat calc loads]
Sorry to be such a bother, I'm trying to get my head around this interesting calculator /and obviously making no progress "OTL
