Hello there everyone. It's been a bit since we've done one of these, so I thought that now was as good a time as any.
Now, there's some big news: an Epic Quest is on the horizon. An Epic Quest is an occasionally posted mission (which will be open to both teams) that will involve a massive enemy that threatens both teams. This creature's level will be over 100 in most cases, and will require teamwork and quite a tough battle to down. However, the winner of this event will be awarded greatly. In most cases, they will be allowed to use a Legendary Pokemon they have not obtained in VDex in the RP (usually the case will be a Legendary who is either too difficult to obtain or unavailable in VDex)
The only issue we haven't worked out yet is deciding how we do the teams on the mission. We want six characters to undertake this daring mission, but the question will be 'What six people?' We are open to suggestions on the matter, naturally. The idea that everyone who wants to submits and application and then six are randomly selected via dice (everyone is assigned a number on a d20 and if you are in the first six, you're in)
More on this as it develops.
So yeah, enjoy the Easter Event and don't be like me and make a fool of yourself.

Sounds awesome!
For a suggestion, I say lets do a lottery style where we call out our favorite/lucky number and use a random number genurator (between the lowest to the highest numbers called out) and whatever six numbers that was called out appear, then those who called them get to be in that mission.

...skfhksjafa this sounds fun *__* It sounds a lot like it'll be some massive rpg-style battle, with someone playing GM for the high level enemy. xD And having both sides fighting together will be really interesting~ /CAN'T WAIT
/ehem/. Agree with Dark on this one. lottery-style is pretty effective, but maybe instead of choosing your number, it depends on the order of who applied first? (since sometimes people pick the same numbers, and if someone isn't picked just because they had to rechoose, might get complicated.. idk just my two cents)

Why not just choose the most eligible volunteers for this mission?

Because the point of the mission is to give everyone an equal oppertunity to be part of the mission. It would be unrealistic to say that every time the most eligable people could get there. Furthermore, it would mean strong characters would just keep getting stronger with more Legendaries in their party

Marche has a point. Personally, I would prefer that we do the whole "post to sign up, you're assigned a number, use a random number generator to find out who gets to participate" method.

I was thinking about using a d20 and videotaping it to prove authenticity and what-not. Whichever ends up being easier : P

Or... maybe we could do a tournment. Fixed levels and stats to that that level. and if a person has a Legendary Pokemon they can`t use it and has to be replaced with a random Pokemon from their Vdex account.
Whatever happened to the tournment for the Rockets anyway?

No. We will be doing it by chance. Everyone will have an equal chance of getting to play.
And the tournament will still happen. We have the rules chatted up and we're about ready to go. We just need to make the bracket

Maybe we could have a little more members participating in the event?Such as 10 instead of 6?

Tara and I will talk about it. The reason we wanted to use 6 was because it was the regulation size of a Pokemon Team...

I just thought about it, and what if we did 12?6 for each team?

But then it would be 12 against a single enemy, which lowers the tension. This is still in the works, so just let us bang our heads together. I know I wouldn't if I were on your end, but you're going to have to trust us to figure this out

That sounds like a Videgame quote.
Either way, for 6, we should get three for each team, considering that both teams will have to work togheter, It would be somewhat awkward if 1 TR member were to work with 5 Police Members, right?
