((continued from part 1)) Lecce paused to take a deep breath of the cool forest air. He really had missed it. Cerulean was a lovely city, with plenty of surrounded greenery, but this was his childhood haunting grounds. He and his pokemon had grown up together shaded in the thick of these woods, taken countless naps after a day of 'training'--most often games of tag than anything else--lulled to sleep by the constant buzzing and quiet rustling of life around them. His hand strayed to the blue pokeball at his waist. If Nero wasn't so big, he would let his partner reminisce along with himself. Turning to Serena, expression a bit more placated, he asked, "You've been through the Forest before, haven't you?"

Serena had always loved forests for the scenery and the sounds. These things always made her very comfortable and at peace. She watched in awe of all the wild pokemon as they pasted them and even saw a group of Butterfree flying above them. Seeing them only made her want to go around and play with them. Her Plusle, who was still on top of Serena's head, shared the same thought but like Serena, kept from doing that. They could always do that later when Lecce wasn't around.
She answered in a happy tone. "Yep! I've been here only once and that was with Chaos although we didn't stay long but just for a few hours. It was still good even though we kept on getting chased by a swarm Beedrill at least five times."

Lecce blinked in slight surprise. "You must've been in the sougth-western side of the forest; there used to be a big Kakuna nesting tree back there." He couldn't help a slight chuckle, bringing a hand up to cover the sound with a cough. "Perhaps one of you got too close to it."
He led the way into the deepest patch of forest. Though he kept an ear out for any potential trouble, he wasn't too worried; usually the worst the quiet forest offered was a few insect allergies or the lost traveller. Certainly nothing to be worried about. Though there had already been one rocket stumbled upon...
Lecce took note of the newer sections of flora that they passed, Archie deigning to rolling in every bright green brush. It looked like a few new plant species might have moved in since his last visit, or perhaps a passing flock of flying-types had dropped seeds while at rest. He would have to ask his friends about it later.
Finally he turned to Serena, slwoing to a stop. It was quite a walk, and he didn't want to tire her out. "So.. should I start looking for that guy now, or is he the type to swoop in dramatically?"

Serena looked a little annoyed by Lecce's statement and complained. "Don't look at me. I was being careful and tried to tell him to do the same, but he is like..." Serena then changed her tone and impersonated Chaos by saying "Who cares? What could possibly go wrong?" Then she went back to her voice. "And then thats when it went wrong." Plusle gave a quick nod, agreeing with Serena.
When they reached what seemed the deepest part of the forest, Serena was kinda tired from the walk. When they stopped, she took this chance relax and as she started to go through one of the bags for a bottle of water for her and Lecce, she said. "Chaos usaully goes for the dramatic entrances but he doesn't have the patience to wait around. Give him a few minutes and he'll come check."
Little did they know that Chaos' Sableye was safely watching them from a fake bush that was right across from them. Sableye slowly lifted up the bush and tried to sneak off to tell his master that the day has come for the battle.

Lecce rolled his eyes slightly, good mood still evident. "If you say so.~"
He paced a slow circle around the area, not quite ready to rest himself, but comfortable to remain here while Serena did. He pulled a bit of pokemon food out of his pocket, tossing it here and there where the grass was sparse. Maybe he would get to see some new of the new residents while he waited.
He wondered how long it would take for Chaos to show himself; enough to maybe go home and visit his other pokemon, his friends? Probably not, but that was alright. If he didn't believe that he and his current team stood a chance at winning, he would have suggested it from the start, or even taken the old detour via the Diglet's cavern systems.
His attention jerked to Archie. She had raised her head, giving a faint, confused growl before trotting off towards some brush he hadn't yet noticed. "Arch," he called. "Come back, don't wander off so far again."
Archie the Mightyena looked back to its master, then to the strange bush. It was some sort of spice plant, but underneath that smell was a pokemon, she was sure of it. Reluctantly, she snorted and turned, kicking dust at it in disappointment before lopping trotting back to Lecce. He patted her n the head once she was seated at his side.
Turning to Serena, he asked tentaviely, "...What do you think of bug pokemon?"

After a few seconds when the dust hit the bush, Sableye held in the urge to sneeze but he couldn't hold it for long and quickly hightailed out of there and deeper into the forest with its disguise. If they listened closely, they could hear a faint sneeze off in the distance.
Serena pulled out two bottles of water and began to drink one of them, leaving the other one for Lecce if he wanted it. As Lecce paced around, Serena layed down on the ground and watched the trees move around with the wind. This was such a great time to fall asleep since she was tired but fought those thoughts off while she watched her Plusle joyfully playing around in one of the trees. She then sat up to answer the question.
"I have no problem as long as they seem cute to me. If its a Beedrill, Ariados or something like them then I might have a problem if it ain't on friendly terms. You know its kinda funny how most girls is afraid of bugs but I'm not... mostly."

Lecce glanced back at the sound, but with a slight shrug, turned back to walk toward Serena, Archie at his side. It was a forest, there were plenty of soft noises. Taking the water with a nod of thanks, he knelt down at let his pokemon drink before himself. It must not be easy carrying that thick fur in this climate.
"...I see. I have a garden back home. Just to warn you, the local bug types do come by pretty often." He gave a small smile. "If there's any problems, my own will sort it out."
The brown-haired teenager sighed under his breath. He still needed to choose the rest of his pokemon for a six-unit team. He had decided which ones on the way to their current location, but didn't want to risk missing Chaos to go get them. Besides, if he didn't trust his three current allies to battle without the aide, he wouldn't have come this far.

Serena just smiled at Lecce and said. "Thank you for offer. I would handle it but I don't think I could talk to them and expect to get away and I would be at a slight disadvantage if my Pokemon fought them. Being at my rank and all..." She chuckled at the end even though it wasn't funny to her but she had to with Lecce around.
She laid back down and looked at the sky. 'Hm... I wonder whats taking Chaos so long? I would at least think that he would have put one of his Pokemon to keep watch.' She continued these thoughts as she steadily closed her eyes.
But that didn't last long as a explosion of smoke surrounded Lecce and Serena. Serena quickly jumped up white onto her feet and her Plusle, in a panic, returned to Serena.
"Bwahahahaha!" a voice echoed in the area. Suddenly, music (The kind that played with Jessie, James and Meowth's motto) began to play "Prepare for a battle and make it worth my time." A figure soon appeared in one of the trees, standing on a branch, as he continued his motto. "To protect my pride as the greatest trainer. To unite all powerful Pokemon under my control. To denie all rumors about me. To reach for the stars above." The smoke was quickly blown away to reveal the figure, who was Chaos. "The names Chaos! I blast off at the speed of light. Surrender or lose the..." And that's when the branch broke underneath him causing him to fall to the ground, face first. "Fight...Ow..." Chaos said as he got back up. Serena held back a laugh as she hid behind Lecce.
After dusting himself off, Chaos looked to Lecce. "Hey, Will, it took you long enough."
