How the ranks work
Characters
Pokemon and teams
Basic Plot
Teams and Alliances
Missions
Battle System
- Your rank on this site is the same as your rank on the VDex page. Check the VDex FAQ to see how to rank up.
- With each rank you have, you are allowed different "quarters", aka "housing options".
- Donated pokemon/money can be referenced to as successful steals/robberies.
Characters
- Each player is allowed one Rocket member, and each character must have their character bio filled out and approved before they can join the roleplay.
- Police members are solely first come, first served. Whenever I put up applications/lists, that is when there is a position open.
- If you have a Rocket and a Police member, you CANNOT battle yourself. Well, you can, but we don't need to see you writing the whole thing out. Just say that you battled, and say who won or lost.
Pokemon and teams
- Make sure that your designated pokemon team is in your character bio. You must also show that you have that pokemon on VDex, so have the image and url to the pokemon in your character bio.
- Depending on your rank, your pokemon are 'restricted'. From Scout and under, or Officer and under if you're police, you are only allowed three pokemon. NO LEGENDARIES.
- Each pokemon only gets four moves, and that pokemon MUST be able to actually LEARN said move.
- Regarding legendaries: I will have a list of them in the applications area. Only one legendary is able to be used, so if Person A has Mewtwo, Person B cannot also have Mewtwo. Legendaries are only allowed to Executives, Admins, and the Boss. Executives are allowed ONE, and Admins are allowed TWO. As for Police members, Captains are allowed ONE, Commanders are allowed ONE, Deputy Chief of Police is allowed TWO, and Chief of Police is allowed THREE. That goes per character, but no more than two characters are allowed legendaries, so don't make five characters and expect to let all of them have legendaries. The Boss can have as many as she'd like, but I'm not taking the whole lot of them. You must also be able to prove that you have said legendary, as well. So don't get all excited and claim Arceus when you don't have him.
- Missingno. is considered a legendary. You will have to have the rank to apply for it, but there isn't just one. I'll be letting there be up to three Missingno., since it isn't really a legendary, just considered as one.
- Depending on your rank, levels are limited. But, don't worry, if you have a level 100, you don't have to somehow get it back down to that level. It'll only be considered as the level cap taking hold, and if your cap is 20, your level 100 will be considered level 20. And if you say that you have a haunter when you're a grunt, the level cap prevents that, so you actually have a gastly. There is no such thing as a level 20 haunter, since it evolves at level 25.
- Level limits for Rocket members: Rookies (15), Grunts (20), Scout (30), Elite (45), Executive (60), Admin (80).
- Level limits for Police members: Undercover Agents (Whatever rank they've been assigned, see the bullet above), Rookies (20), Officers (25), Detective (30), Sergeant (40), Lieutenant (50), Captain (60), Major (70), Commander (80), Deputy Chief of Police (90), Chief of Police (100).
- I know this was stated in the roleplay rules, but I will say it again: your pokemon CANNOT powerplay. A level 25 Poliwag cannot beat a level 40 Charizard,
no matter how much you believe in it.
Basic Plot
- Alright, so we have Team Rocket, and we have the Police Force. What do you think is going down?
- At any rate, Team Rocket is growing strong. Stronger than it has ever been before. This sudden fluctuation in crime and evildoing has drawn the concerned eyes of the Police. They have been attempting to stop Team Rocket for years, but now, they are at risk of being overwhelmed by the newfound power that has given Team Rocket its strength, as of late.
- In order to attempt to stem this flow of evil, the Police Force is assigning certain trusted members to attempt to infiltrate Team Rocket's ranks, and spy on them from the inside. You never know who is truly friend or foe...
- On another note, there is the fact that you can defect. If you are a Rocket member, you can choose to side with the Police Force at a later date.
Though I don't know why you would want to do that. And also vice-versa.
Teams and Alliances
- Alliance is basically asking whether you are a Rocket member, or a Police member.
- Teams are within each alliance. You can have one higher-ranked member of the team as the team's leader. Maximum of five per team.
Missions
- Admins can, without the Boss's permission, begin missions. Missions include sending lower-ranked teams to do their bidding, whether it's going out and getting grocceries, or robbing a laboratory.
- Anyone who is not an Admin must have their ideas for missions approved by the Boss.
- Mission suggestions should be put into the plot suggestions board to be approved.
Battle System
- I have recently made a guide to Stat Calculations and Battle Damage Calculations.
- The battle system will be roleplayed out, but we will follow this kind of system in order to prevent godmodding and powerplaying.
- We've made an addition to the battle system, regarding attack/defense, and special attack/special defense.
With the unanimous votes we've had in the poll so far, I don't doubt this will be approved by our members. The poll has ben closed, and it's a landslide, completely for the system's approval. So that is now officially what we'll abide by.- However, if you and your opponent agree beforehand on the battle's outcome, for plot developments or for other reasons, I don't mind if you don't adhere quite as strictly to the rules, but I still hope you make it interesting enough, and have the hp "bars" at the top of your post.
- About Protect during battles: It does not count towards the dodges you are allowed to have, since it is a move. However, don't go using it all over the place. Its chance for success fails when used consecutively, so, as a rule, it will only be successful if you use it once, and then wait to use it again after three "turns" have passed since you first used it. Maximum two successful protects per pokemon.
- About "priority moves" and speed moves like "Me First": Basically, whoever has the highest speed wins. xD;
